I think it's because he was deeply moved by the tribute that Will.i.am did and has a deep emotional attachment to the song because it means alot.
To have an artist like this write and produce a song and it become so huge on youtube is a very moving thing for someone and it must be the whole story behind this.
Don't automatically attribute something like this to arrogance. Sometimes there may be something more personal and moving behind the apparent.
I am a woman and I did not support Hillary for many reasons.
But, what I find the worst are her supporters who cover themselves in the delusion of imaginary sexism. Yes, some existed just as racism did. but, I did not see blatant or extreme examples of it. Rather what I saw was a repeated attempt by Hillary's famous and old school donors to convince the gullible that Hillary lost due to sexism rather then her own incompetence in running her campaign.
I saw Ferarro make an ass of herself repeatedly and make me embarrassed for my gender with her examples of wacked out thinking.
I saw women like the head of NOW in NY make me want to turn my back on feminism just not be anyway associated with such an odious creature.
Example of unreasonable and immature behavior abound and will have set any credible woman candidate back for generations due to the sheer repulsiveness of the behavior of Hillary's supporters during and after the primaries.
Any fool can see Hillary entered the campaign with more advantages then any candidate in history and blew it. And long before the press questioned her thinking they were quite excited and supportive of her. It was when she started to act just as immature as her supporters and surrogates that the press began to wonder about her ability.
As anyone would.
The uncomfortable fact is that Hillary blew it. She frittered away millions of dollars and failed to do the basic planning of any candidate in preparing to compete in different states with different rules. On top of it, she failed to make the executive decisions that is needed by any candidate running for high office.
The only fault lies with Hillary.
The behavior of her rabid and childish supporters is akin to spoiled rich children who are told no for the first time and don't get their way.
The fact of elections is that the candidate unprepared loses and the superior one wins.
It may be difficult to accept but, Obama ran the superior campaign. clinton ran a historically awful one that would have forced anyone not named Clinton from the race in Feb.
part of the problem lies with a press who greedy for rating kept her supporters strung along with the lie that this was neck in neck. Truth is that the race was over after Obama won 11 straight and she never stood a chance afterward nor did she have the money to mount any serious challenge after Iowa.
That if Obama does not win, Hillary will need more then just her supporters in 2012. And with the behavior of her hardcore and to some extent Bill, if it is seen that they undermined Obama and sunk his chances this time, Hillary will be the one to pay the price.
This is true.
I am an Obama supporter. Hillary has infuriated me alot during the primary but, I see her as trying to be good and helpful now. I don't see any malice on her part as far as I can see.
But, I do see Bill and the hardcore of Hillary's supporters doing everything to sink Obama in their hopes of helping Hillary in 2012.
What they did do was sink any chance she may have had at the vp spot this time and are seriously working on undermining her for 2012 if obama does not get elected.
I don't see Hillary doing wrong but, unfortunately she will be the one to pay the price for the deeds of her supporters and Bill.
I live in a small city in the middle of the country. Honestly, there are racists but, there are also people who won't vote for McCain because of age!
For months now, everyday I hear you people in your ivory towers in New York and Washington blathered over and over about 'Does Obama have a problem with...insert a group of the week"
But, you never talk about whether mcCain has a problem.
Just as many people, if not more, will not vote for a 72 year old for president as an African American.
And McCain seems to have big problems with women, hispanics, ect. but, I never hear you guys obsess over this.
You will say but the polls. Hello. It's summer. People are at the beach and not focusing on the election. The polls mean squat right now.
Maybe if you got away from your bubbles and actually mixed with real people and listened to them you would find your conventional wisdom is worthless.
But, that is what you are afraid of.
it's easier to obsess on Obama's race and pick apart polls to fit your notions. And it's easier to pick at Obama then examine the problems with McCain.
