Am I with you on this. but, it is Joan Walsh and her undying love of the Clintons and whining that has given a home to these spoiled women and their sore loser attitudes.

Maybe if she would herself get over it or someone else lead the magazine with more ooph these women would find a healthier way to express themselves.

As long as they keep falsely blaming Obama for their dissatisfaction with their own lives and why Hillary lost, they will keep complaining.

They cannot bear to face the reality of why Hillary lost and place the blame where it belongs. Mark Penn and Bill Clinton. Also Hillary's sheer incompetence for the way she ran her campaign.

But, as long as Walsh keeps them in their delusions and refusal to face reality we will be treated to their bitter and unreasonable rants all summer.

Original article: Could be Biden time

Biden would be a great choice.

I have personally liked either Webb or Biden for vp.

Both are plain guys who do well with men and make people feel safe.

And either one would really tamp down any lingering doubts people may have over the rumors of obama's religion or patriotism.

And both are tough guys who can go toe to toe with anyone.

I also think Obama gets along great with both men.

Plus, their national security cred is high.

Even if Obama has been ahead of the cw in regard to foreign policy and really has alot more ability and knowledge then many give him credit for, the addition of either man would really shore up anything people may doubt about him.

I simply cannot see any other people in the job at this moment.

Doris Flower,

No. Not Clinton. Terrible choice and we simply do not need the circus at this time.

I agree about Kansas gov. She doesn't do much for me.

Most of the names that have come up have been horrible.

I do like Edwards but, I think he's kind of hoping for AG.

I don't think Edwards really wants to be vp.

I still think Biden or Webb are perfect.

Original article: Rush Limbaugh was right

The left is very nervous over anything that may hurt Obama

The left cannot believe their luck in having a candidate so suited to presidency and someone who is smart, tough and can beat the republicans. Afterall, he defeated the biggest baddest machine in democratic politics over the past 20 years. and he is a newbie.

The atmosphere is ripe for democrats to win in the fall.

This is something else the left cannot believe.

And after the series of Mondale clones as nominees - those cold, uninspired establishment candidates like Dukakis, ect., who were so easily laughed at and defined by the right, the left is very nervous.

Obama can win and take the white house. And he is someone rare in politics and very gifted.

The left is terrified of having him swiftboated not just by repubicans but, by the press. The press were the ones that helped with the swiftboating of Kerry and promoted the idea that Gore was a liar.

They do not want their candidate harmed or soiled. They don't want to give the media an excuse to carry the gop water again.

They are terrified a magazine cover could destroy everything and their hopes and dreams

While most of the article is a very good assessment

of Obama, I disagree with the ending.

I particularly enjoyed reading about Obama's thought process in picking a vp. While my hoped for choice is Biden, I just think this guy would be a good one, I do see Obama going with a outside the box choice.

and it makes sense for Obama to hold his acceptace speech outside to squash any bitter old Hillary supporters intent on mischief.

But, in the end you devolve into how Obama is going conventional.

I think you have been drinking too deeply from the Traditional media spin, which is repeating gop spin. CQ's fact check column today even addresses this and says it is false to say Obama has flipped and gone middle.

He has stuck with his same positions on most things still today. Any real Obama supporter could have told you but, try has hard as we have, the media and even savvy people like Walter refuse to listen to the truth. They rather the spin as fact rather then the truth.

McCain probably thinks after a little outrage

by the rightwing blogs, if he played the injured party, pretended like the press was never his base, and how they like Obama better, then he would finally be able to round up the conservatives behind him and inject some enthusiasm for him.

Original article: Johnny, I hardly knew ye

We are a Terribly Flawed Society

But, we expect our public officials to be perfect. To fit contradictory roles and never waver or be human.

On one hand we want someone to have a beer with but, at the same time be better then the rest of us.

And to wrap themselves in the flag and be virtuous and religious paragons.

No human can live up to those expectations. Or I should say some who are expected to jump through those hoops. Others get a pass no matter how bad they are.

So, the twist is that the journalists who fall in love, present the picture of perfection of their favorite knowing the man is not up to the job.

We see this with McCain, who's womanizing is ignored, as well as gaffes and his dangerous interfering with Georgia. Instead of being presumptuous he is presidential.

But, we would see the opposite if Obama behaved as McCain did today.

The same with Edwards. he is lambasted and made the true cad and yet not a word about McCain and the way he treated his disabled first wife.
