Original article: Gonzales' Fan Club of One

Gonzales is not bright or witty

He is just a typical bushie. This is how all the stepford Bushies are. Total loyality to the supreme leader. Only talking in talking points.

And since our dear leader is kinda stupid, he doesn't like the cronies to be too bright or witty, in case he can't understand them.

No one gets fired as long as they are loyal. You have to be disloyal, or he feels you may be on the verge of spilling. Or cheney deems it.

I think the days

of the hardboiled journalist, the guy with the cig hanging out of the side of his mouth, typewriter clacking, looked like he slept in his clothes and drank whiskey out of a bottle in his desk drawer was probably what we need.

I realize this is a movie sterotype but, those have to be better than the empty headed, fluff chasing gossip columnists that pass for real journalists now.

You see people like Chris Matthews drooling over the manliness of captain codpeice and then, I heard today he was doing stupid manily senarios for the exmayor of NY where he beats up on a gang of hoods at night. Geez! This is our journalists at work.

Newswriters who aspire to be the next Drudge are the kind you need to pack off to the National Enquierer and not have them think they are in any sense real journalists.

the reason the journalists are so angry at blogs is that the bloggers are the real journalists. The throwback to the Woodward /Bernstein model of not wanting to travel the cocktail curcuit with the people they are suppose to be speaking truth to but, cut these people's career's throats.

Maybe it is an offshoot of so long under the authoritarian rule of republicans that journalists got lazy with doing fluff and gossip as they were too awed by the manliness of the gop. Or at least, I am more apt to believe, bored with all the backroom wheeling and dealing with lobbyests and but, outside of that totally a party of people totally boring. Like covering bank executives. yawn.

Democrats are so much more fun but, alot more work.

I wonder.....

Was Bill crystal ever a cheerleader????

How about Wolfowitz or Perle??? Just wondering since they are ever so good at it. Afterall, Project for the new american century is probably based on a cheer....

Yes, they love telling us what we want

I agree that these clueless yahoos love to tell us what we want like we want Hillary to be our nominee because all democrats love her sooooooo much. yuck!

Or that Bush looks all hunky in his flight suit. gag!

Or the latest: We like authoritarian leaders to tell us what to do. uh huh.

lovely

As someone who voted for Obama in 04 and now has him as my senator, the pundits are very wrong in saying that his appeal will burn out. We are still in the midst of our love affair with him and it's been 2 years.

I so wish the msm would stop cheerleading for Hillary and spinning it so they can have her as our nominee. I don't like her and am very dubious of another Clinton term. Afterall, this ongoing Bush Clinton merry go round has got to stop.

We need to move away from the 90s most dysfunctional families and into a new century with new ideas to fix the mess of the dynasties.

I hope more and more people discover what you have.

Actually the reason for the venom towards blogs

The msm is very worried. They know the decline in viewership or readership is largely due to people going online.

They know they had failed us and that the cheerleading for the right and Bush, the iraq war, and trying to be like Fox news, lost them credibility. Getting it back is not so easy when the evil bloggers have given transparency, credibility and the truth. they cannot spin it and frankly, do not know how to get the people back. They are somewhat aware they are seen as living in a bubble and are disliked for their insider status.

They know the readers are quite loyal to the bloggers and believe them. They know they are being laughed at and held in comtempt.

Even with the elections they are clueless. They have picked one like them to cheerlead for: Hillary. And are questioning everything about the outsider, or blogger: Obama. she has the same problems as they do with us.

But, they don't see it. Because just cheering a dem should bring us back. They don't see that the dem of choice is like them.

So, they are in a snit. we still don't believe them and have abadoned them for you guys and they know they are becoming not relevant.

What I Don't Get

Is that I've heard this story before. it is only being picked up now but, it has been out there. I either heard it or read about it in a book a little while ago. But, it was never out there in the mainstream like now.

But the story is not new to me so I am trying hard to remember my reaction when I read or heard it. Because now everyone is going nuts. So, why was it never put out before when it was revealed.
