Crimes against humanity -- torture, physical harassment, and denial of due process -- are being committed right here in the US, using as cover a nationwide vigilante network fronted by government-funded community policing and citizen patrol groups.

Persons tagged as "political dissidents" and "whistle-blowers" are being systemically targeted (for example, the 53 peace activists tagged as "terrorists" recently by the Maryland State Police). Jouralists are among them, but many may not realize that unfortunate events in their lives are a direct result of this targeting and harassment.

Police and federal officials are aware of what's going on. Evidence indicates that some officials are providing direction and support.

On the internet, victims of this "extrajudicial targeting" campaign call this "organized community stalking" or "gang stalking." What it really is amounts to an officially sanctioned Stasi or Gestapo -- meting out vigilante justice to those who are "targeted" by agencies of government for exrajusticial punishment, harassment, career destruction and slow genocide by way of the new generation of "directed energy" (read: RADIATION) weaponry and devices which have been secretly deployed to law enforcement and intelligence operatives nationwide.

I am a fairly well-known journalist who has been victimized by this extra-legal, unconstitutional apparatus for nearly five years. I hosted a top-rated sports business show on Madison Square Garden Network for six years ending in 2004 -- just as I became aware that I was being "gang stalked" and targeted. Prior to that, I was a top editor and reporter at various publications and TV outlets, including Fox TV Phila., NY Daily News, Phila. Bulletin, St. Petersburg Times and CableVision and TV/Radio Age magazines.

I present my bona fides here because I am putting 35 years of journalistic credibility on the line to tell you that American citizens are being stalked, harassed, followed like prey and their lives are being slowly degraded by horrific instruments that have been described by government agencies as "non-lethal" weaponry.

I have been physically prevented from visiting the ACLU offices in New York by men in suits wearing interesting lapel pins. My appeals for legal assistance on behalf of untold thousands of victims of this campaign of extrajudicial targeting has largely gone unanswered.

My communications are subject to interception, not merely surveillance, and my emails often go unanswered.

Obama's flip-flops on FISA and gun control foreshadowed a disturbing tendency toward appeasement. Is a progressive agenda just the shtick employed by Obama to assemble his coalition?

If Obama's picks for DNI, CIA director and other key positions in the military/industrial/security complex further a narrative of vacillation, conciliation and capitulation to the established order, we will have the answer.

On another note: A post by this correspondent yesterday showed up replete with typos -- even though Salon's spell-check software showed that the copy was clean when the "send" button was pushed. I sent a letter to Salon's "letters team" and this was the reply I received:

"Erode the integrity of the Letters community"? This is the syntax of a paid disinformation agent.

My theory: Glenn's blog, and many others, including "The Fix" and "Politico," are infested with paid disinfo agents, perhaps government agents, who are using remote computing software, "spoofed pages" inserted into certain users' datastreams, and other clandestine methods, to surveil, disrupt and interfere with the free flow of information on the web.

Glenn, could you use check with your letters team -- in person, so there's no chance of electronic interception -- to see if the phrase "erode the integrity of the Letters community" really came from your colleagues?
