Imus made a bad joke. One that he has apologized for over and over again.

Some old white guy makes a bad joke and you people jump all over his shit. One of the most out-spoken people on this incident is Al Sharpton. Why is it that you hardly ever hear anything about all the shit that Al Sharpton has done over the years? Is it because he's black, or because he's a Democrat?

Let me refresh your memory:

1987: Sharpton spreads the incendiary Tawana Brawley hoax, insisting heatedly that a 15-year-old black girl was abducted, raped, and smeared with feces by a group of white men. He singles out Steve Pagones, a young prosecutor. Pagones is wholly innocent -- the crime never occurred -- but Sharpton taunts him: "If we're lying, sue us, so we can . . . prove you did it." Pagones does sue, and eventually wins a $345,000 verdict for defamation.(Which Sharpton has yet to pay) To this day, Sharpton refuses to recant his unspeakable slander or to apologize for his role in the odious affair.

1991: A Hasidic Jewish driver in Brooklyn's Crown Heights section accidentally kills Gavin Cato, a 7-year-old black child, and antisemitic riots erupt. Sharpton races to pour gasoline on the fire. At Gavin's funeral he rails against the "diamond merchants" -- code for Jews -- with "the blood of innocent babies" on their hands. He mobilizes hundreds of demonstrators to march through the Jewish neighborhood, chanting, "No justice, no peace." A rabbinical student, Yankel Rosenbaum, is surrounded by a mob shouting "Kill the Jews!" and stabbed to death.

1995: When the United House of Prayer, a large black landlord in Harlem, raises the rent on Freddy's Fashion Mart, Freddy's white Jewish owner is forced to raise the rent on his subtenant, a black-owned music store. A landlord-tenant dispute ensues; Sharpton uses it to incite racial hatred. "We will not stand by," he warns malignantly, "and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business." Sharpton's National Action Network sets up picket lines; customers going into Freddy's are spat on and cursed as "traitors" and "Uncle Toms." Some protesters shout, "Burn down the Jew store!" and simulate striking a match. "We're going to see that this cracker suffers," says Sharpton's colleague Morris Powell. On Dec. 8, one of the protesters bursts into Freddy's, shoots four employees point-blank, then sets the store on fire. Seven employees die in the inferno.

Why don't we hear people crying for Sharpton's resignation? Is it because he's black, or because he's a Democrat?

Oh, and let’s not forget Jesse Jackson’s "Heimie Town" comment.

Enough with the white guilt, people.

In January 2006, about two months before the falsely alleged rape at Duke, there was an ACTUAL rape at the University of Richmond in which a White coed was raped by four Black students from nearby Virginia Union University, one of whom was a former quarterback from the VUU football team.

Why didn’t we hear more about this in the Press? Why didn’t Salon.com write about THIS?

And early Sunday morning, January 6th, 2007, Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom (both Caucasian) were abducted during what apparently began as a carjacking.

"It apparently started with a carjacking," said Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Rich Knighten . "They did some really nasty things to this lady."

Subsequently Newsom’s badly burned and mutilated body was found in a rail yard. It turns out the five assailants did some “really nasty things” to Christopher Newsom before they killed him. Authorities know that he was raped, his penis cut off, and beaten before being set on fire and shot several times. It is believed they forced his girlfriend, Channon Christian, to watch.

Reports state that Channon Christian, was beaten and gang-raped in many ways for four days by all five assailants, including an eighteen year-old female named Vanessa Coleman. They also took turns urinating on her. Then they cut off her breasts and put a chlorine-based cleaning product in her mouth, ostensibly to eradicate any DNA evidence, then murdered her and left her body in a garbage can inside a house once occupied by two of the assailants.

The assailants, Lemaricus Davidson, Letalvis Cobbins, George Thomas, Vanessa Coleman, and Eric Boyd are all AFRICAN-AMERICAN.

I wonder what Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would have to say about these black on white crimes? And I also wonder why we haven’t read about THESE stories on Salon?

The only forgiveness Alec Baldwin needs is forgiveness for being a liberal.

He has made campaign contributions to both Ted Kennedy AND John Kerry in the past. Now THAT'S disturbing.

Who cares what this guy, or any of the other Hollywood "elite" do or say. As someone else pointed out, the man plays make-believe for a living.

And who knows, maybe his daughter is a "thoughtless little pig."

So glad that I threw my television set out 6 years ago.

More people should try doing the same.
