FYVM
[Read the article: The Swift Boating of Hillary Clinton?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]F*ck you very much
When are the Democrats going to retaliate -- whisper in Kay Bailey Hitchinson's ear -- the snide remark just earned you a FYVM -- so lets look at the biggest item you need to get through for your campaign contributors (or the Reps in your state) and kill it legislatively. Then tell her contributors that is payback. Throw in a few where she co-sponsors with just a Republican.
Seriously, its time for a little hardball. Republicans in the K-Street project had Democratic lobbyists fired -- OK start a little list -- all associates of Delay are unwelcome as lobbyists. Why is Thomas Donohue still the President of the US Chamber of Commerce -- the man who decided in 2005/2006 to boycott he Democratic National Convention -- his name should be raised with every member company lobbying on the Hill til he resigns. A lobbyist attends Grover Norquist's weekly meeting (the one where they established the list of Dems to target and be fired), his entire firm is unwelcome -- Norquist has leprosy from here out.
Seriously and for a while, payback matters. A lot of FYVM -- a very hard message, you do not do this sh!t and walk away as if nothing happened. It needs a few stories in the Washington Post (from Broder say) about how outrageous the Democratic vengeance is (because the key is that few voters read that zero, but the Republicans and lobbyists do, and they will see the key fact -- punishment awaits if you do this stuff.)
I am not saying target all Republicans, but the ringleaders of the K-Street project should be run out of town. Bipartisanship by Republicans rewarded, but Swift-Boating savagely punished. And a little of that might send a message to Lieberman and Feinstein too -- the Democrats are willing to get nasty.
