Some kind of updated variation of the Nine Nations of North America, perhaps?
I'm all for the Snow Crash approach - give us some Franchise Organized Quasi-National Entities and a bunch of franchisees looking for some real estate, any real estate, that they can throw a fence around and extraterritorialize.
This neighborhood could use a Mr. Lee's Greater Hong Kong like you wouldn't believe.
...catch the biggest Marlon in history
Sadly, Brando has gone to the Big Buffet Table in the Sky. The Wayans brother is probably only good for catch and release.
It takes a special kind of person to complain about an ad hominem attack while launching an ad hominem attack.
And by "special," I mean "a dick."
Hominemally,
Paul
I'm not suggesting Raum or, really, anyone who works in our current ADD media world has actually read Schopenhauer... but theoldies never go out of style, do they?
Confuse the issue by changing your opponent’s words...
Linky at sig. Good morning folks!
You are slavishly holding to your view
I just love self-pwnage, don't you?
It's as if Tiberius got a taste of what being a regular commenter was yesterday when he agreed with Glenn's point... and then got cold feet about being associated with the "minions."
Almost exactly like that...
Introducing a second argument by assertion doesn't make the first argument by assertion stronger, chief.
You didn't address "many libs," because you can't. And so you're taking your toys and leaving. Fine.
We'll save the cookie for you.
1. "Bawstahn" is a city in the United States, Ron. Founding fathers are buried here, as are scores of Iraq war dead.
2. Kerry went to Yale. Obama went to Columbia. George W. Bush went to "Hahvahd."
3. Red Sox.
4. Fuck you.
You're right. This guy's a lunatic.
I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending...
BTW, "Whiter Shade of Pale" was a masterpiece. Thanks for your contribution to the canon of blue-eyed soul.

I'm glad you're so impressed with your reasoning abilities. Really, healthy self-esteem is an important step towards developing an integrated personality.
Unfortunately, watching you pretend to make an argument is uncomfortably like watching someone masturbate, or that scene in Silence of the Lambs where Jame Gumb dances in front of the mirror.
I'll leave you to it.
...but that depends on what the meaning of is is.
I'm steeling myself for another pseudo-debate like this weekend's "how many doctrines can dance on the head of a pin." I'd rather not get sidetracked into Shooter's "legal" argument (as the kids say, it ain't illegal if you don't get caught), but rather stick to the question raised in this post: i.e. whether reporters really are held to a higher evidentiary standard.
If Joe Klein says that warrantless wiretapping is presumptively legal, absent any court ruling to that effect, for example... isn't that the same thing Shooter's accusing Glenn of doing? And what has that done for Joe's "credibility?"
I mean, I think it's fine that he seem to be doing GG karaoke over at Swampland these days, but it's not like that washes away the sins of the past. Not until Yom Kippur, anyway...
I think you're distorting Karen Tumulty's point by conflating evidence with proof
I read the post as saying exactly what you claim it didn't say... and read it again the same way after I saw your comment. I'm genuinely curious as to which of us read it wrong.
It ain't illegal if you don't get caught. Unless you're Clinton. Tsk. Heh.
What do you have against Billy Crystal? I loved City Slickers!
missed, and warmly welcomed back.
Hi Electro.
How many screen names does that make for you, man?
I'm a skinny sensitive straight guy. Here's the secret: have some goddamn confidence. Most women don't like assholes or wimps. You have to know who you are, genuinely like yourself, and not be needy. Yes, be sensitive, listen, but know when to assert yourself - and do it with calm strength, not macho defensiveness. It's actually not that hard.
I'm sorry, but the whining on this thread is killing me. Maybe it's not women's fault that you guys aren't getting the attention you want...
I sense some bitterness.
...get the pleasure I did at this felicitous turn of phrase:

Why, it's like a full-body hug... with a data probe.
Just curious: did you read the post? At all?

At all?
