That in California, you need a 2/3rds vote of the legislature to raise taxes, guarenteeing a budget gridlock year in and year out, as republicans refuse to vote for ANY tax increase regardless of how fiscally responsible and finanacially necessary it might be.
Additionally, the "blue ribbon" panel appointed by the Governator to recommend reform of California's fiscal nightmare also ducked out on addressing Prop. 13 inequities, opting instead for a seemingly ridiculous plan that, while appearing to cut taxes for the poor and middle class, would institute a new (and untried, and highly complicated) way of taxing businesses and, from what I've read, impose sales taxes on items previously exempt, like food. These new sales taxes directly effect the poor and middle and make up for any spurious "tax cut" being offered.
Talk about making things worse...
Why this asshat isn't in jail yet.
He's Mahatma-freakin'-Gandhi.
Rush was the same guy who sent his maid out to illegally buy him Oxycontin and who was nabbed coming back from his sex vacation with a suitcase full of Viagra, so I'm guessing he is an expert on the subject of embarrassment.
Of course I would want my daughter to experience this great adventure and to be able to cherish what is obviously the experience of a lifetime. I would personally see her off with great fanfare.
Then I would surreptitiously follow her the length of her journey in a large power boat...

I find it bizarre that a bare majority can vote to deny basic rights to any minority. That seems so unAmerican.
Still, Maine is one battle. The struggle continues.
2 governorships for 2 seats in the House? I'll take that trade. Hell, let'em have all the governor's seats at that exchange rate.
As far as this election being a referendum on Obama, despite what GOP mouthpieces would have you believe, exit polls say otherwise. The governor's races were about the candidates, not the parties.
Clueless. Filled with hubris (and an equally overblown sense of entitlement). Completely tone deaf to the economic suffering and hardship he and his ilk have caused.
How many millions did this jackass get in bonus money?
Jealous much?
To be fair, it was Jamie Lee Curtis in a thong.
The other failings you point out are correct, though.
