Agreed. If nearly 30 years of deregulation and trickle down economics hadn't failed so miserably when it did, we might not even talking about President Obama. And we all got what you asked for under Bush: Two endless wars with no exit in sight, the destruction or weakening of several constitutional rights, a unitary executive accountable to no one (what might be called a dictator in other countries), a ruined economy, a staggering deficit, enormous job losses, a weakened infrastructure, a collapsing healthcare system, a real estate market in collapse, and a 700 billion dollar bailout for rich people which is in no way to be confused with Socialism, which apparently is defined as something that would work for the benefit of poor people.
