Seems the primary basis of discussion and indeed the article is to find fault and exploit it. I'm against this particular portion of the war, Iraq, Afghanistan asked for what they got. This however does not justify ruining many mens lives and women today, who did nothing more then believe in their countries cause. Great harm and wrongs occur in war. Psychotic and other warped personalities move in, just as cowards filled up the ranks of public service in the sixties. It just happens and whole societies or groups should not have to pay the cost. This type of thinking creates isolation and conflict within the group cited. Society shunned the Vietnam vet returning or at a minimum was apathetic while others within the group seeking approval I suppose, aligned themselves in disgust against their fellow combatants. This was the basis of John Kerry's down fall in his presidential bid. Having perpetrated a wrong he chose to site the entire theater, some how exonerating himself rather then admitting a personal indiscretion or maladjustment. He was just thrown into it and his act was just happenstance was a better way to go but there's no advantage to that is there?

The article was very interesting but...Sadly there are a group of overly self inflated hate mungers responding. Is it any wonder one would dislike a so called intellectual who has spent so much time looking down their noses at those of us they deem less worthy they are totally myopic in scope? Intellect used to create dissension and hate is an education lost.

The above statement shows the depth of left wingers hatred for America. All their fears are wrapped up in this prejudicial statement. They hate guns, references to God and our culture in general. Even their own question this out burst of hostilities. Sad how petty and trivial folks can be. Leave my guns alone, let me live as I choose, that's America. So sick of manipulating whiners I can't stand to watch a political ad. And if I'm wrong why else would one bother publishing this trash if it weren't seen as attractive to a broad spectrum?

Had some one mention in a blog what I thought sounded like a good plan. Why can't they use that bail out money where it's needed, give it to the people. Obviously with a clause and statement you sign saying you will first use it to become solvent,debt free. Doesn't that solve a whole lot of problems given bad debt due to run away prices is the problem? Just a thought but why save a corporation just to have them miss manage it again? They've had many chances through bail out and tax breaks and manipulations, why not give the tax payer one?

Deaf here and did not see the tank or anything that looked like friendly fire. That there are liars and self servers throughout our upper ranks is without doubt. I fought in Laos in 69, it was 1973 before a senate investigating committee found people of rank to stand up and say so. That was brought about by, in my opinion, a little self serving coward who proceeded to defile an entire generation of good people who served their country honestly. This as a prelude to a sit down job for life.

Hope we learned something along the way and treat these boys better.

Intellectuals, what a crock. They spend more time trying to structure life then lead it. Consequently, they know little about it's realities. I have met more prejudice blacks then whites in my life and the numbers are few. I feel guilt for no one's misfortunes and take responsibility for none but my own. If more attention was paid to facts rather then creating them to suit we'd be in a much better place today.

I keep seeing this psycho babble everywhere. While they are right, racism certainly is not dead in America it's no where's near the proportions or even of the nature they suggest. I have found more blacks who are and or use racism to their own advantage causing social separatism of their own making. As for the nigger word, it's just that. I have had black friends and this is a joke. They call each other this. It means little except where a selfish opportunist is involved. The negative impact it will have on the vote shows nothing more then this fact. In the privacy of ones own home a man can use what ever words he chooses and the man cited in this article thought he was alone. The 4th amendment covers this truth and the 9th secures it for those who suggest it's vague. Vague is a ploy oft times used by those of ill intent.

Wasn't it the Democratic left, liberals who forced the defeat of a draft? Now that compulsory service is their idea it's some how right? Given this is truly his thinking, which no one seems sure of or willing to say. Anyway,compulsory in a free society is just wrong, all theatrics aside. You don't even want a man, woman or child in your ranks who doesn't want to be there. They do not work in your best interest and only cheapen the out come. In cases of war, they have gotten men killed.

Even if such an act were Constitutional, it's just wrong.
