I wish they would quit beating this dead horse

I guess if they say enough it will be true but from what I see on the blogs, this just isn't going to happen. I am not voting for Obama no matter what because he is not the candidate that is the best choice for the country.

It's about supply and demand.

My understanding is that the more oil the world has the lower the price goes. We are using all the oil that we have so the demand is more than the supply. Whatever we can do to add to the supply, will help the price go down. We will get the oil in 2 to 4 years...not 10. Oh and just think, if Bill Clinton hadn't vetoed the Anwar drilling legislation, we would already be getting oil out of Alaska and the prices wouldn't be so high. Stop this insanity and realize that drilling is more of a sure thing than alternative fuels and all the other long term solutions. We need to move forward and stop whining and act like Americans.

Oh and the ad sucks! Waa Waa Waa

Way to go Rick

MSNBC is the Obama network so I enjoyed watching a McCain campaign spokesman get to dish on Obama. That rarely happens on that network. We should all want unbiased reporting of the news so as a McCain supporter, I had a different take on the whole interview. Just once I would like to see one of the media hosts not take up for Obama and just interview the guest. This is a political campaign and all this talk about going negative is BS. There are going to be attacks from here to November so gets some popcorn and enjoy the battle.

I agree with jbwatts

And I really think that John McCain is smarter than Joan.

Original article: John McCain's female card

This is about change

What was McCain supposed to do? Sit back and let Obama hog the change theme. Washington needs to be purged of it's insiders and Palin is far from an insider. I think McCain has shown desire to change things by working across the isle and I think he chose Palin for her judgement and accomplishments in her state. She has a lot of checks in the conservative boxes and they need to be motivated because of their dissappointment in their corrupt party. We need to stop looking at identity politics and try to see beyond that to what each candidate brings as a person. John McCain has succeeded in motivating his base and that is his first big decision. On the other hand, Obama's first big decision picking Biden was pretty much along party lines and doing what Pelosi and the gang with very low approval ratings would want. I think Obama is lacking in that his rhetoric doesn't match his deeds.

Wrong age

Keith Olberman is in his 50's.

a new something

It may just be fresh female blood but whatever it is, I like what I see so far. Sarah is a happy go lucky female political star. She is not steeped in the boomer generation battles. I think if we old broads had it to do over again, we may have done it Sarah's way instead of trying to buck our mom's values and feminism.

John McCain has a story

And it's an American story. Go to his website and read his family's history and you will see why the voters connect with him. Not only that but Palin too. She is a fresh female face in politics and women are excited. Thus the large crowds. Conservatives have been down in the dumps for 8 months now watching the democrats battle it out and were ready to throw in the towel. Well, all of the sudden they are motivated and excited and this is where we're at currently. Half the dem party are not that excited about Obama and many aren't even voting for him. Obama never was a good candidate...he just seemed like one because the media and his supporters made such a big deal out of everything he did. His historic moment lasted what...less than 12 hours.

Original article: Zombie feminists of the RNC

Funny thing

That the conservative woman is way more popular than the feminist one meaning...Hillary just didn't get that rock star treatment and only connected with women on her side. Sarah seems to appeal to independent and conservative women. Feminism to me is promoting all women and not just the ones that are on your side.

Newsflash

All politicians are coached. If we wanted an intelligent person that could ace an interview off the cuff, Kerry would probably be the president.

Friday, September 12, 2008 04:46 PM

McCain was a gentlemen

In a sea of feminist that are voting for the candidate that dissed the woman because he was threatened and didn't want to share the historic spotlight. Hey ladies, the man you are so disrespectful of, actually chose a woman to be on the ticket with him and is calmly letting her have all the glory because he doesn't need to be narcissistic. He actually has an honorable past.

Book banning list didn't happen

That story has been debunked. Palin never tried to ban any books. These types of articles and the liberal barrage against Palin is not helping Obama. Keep up the good work.

Monday, September 15, 2008 05:59 PM

I'm sorta thinking that maybe

Some of you guys are actually seeing Obama for who he is and not for what party he represents.

Thursday, September 18, 2008 02:22 PM

Too bad

He can't just be himself. You know the guy that has character and has accomplished so much. The one that has never associated with shady characters and used his middle finger while campaigning.

OMG

The stuff that the army of people that descended on Alaska dig up is incredible. There are many many many places in this country that have these same issues. Maybe doing what's best for her town or state (yes she's governed both) doesn't always include everything so let's find a little fault and make it news. The rest of us have moved on to real issues.

Blah Blah Blah

Oh please. She is a governor now and this is politics. According to the late great Ann Richards, "politics is a contact sport". Nice people don't go into politics so lay off Sarah Palin. In my opinion, Washington needs more folks like this.
