...we have an administration that instead of peddling misinformation, just mis-speaks alot.
Another Obama mis-speaking moment, "Here's the guarantee that I've made: If you have insurance that you like, then you will be able to keep that insurance," said July 28 in a meeting with AARP members. He cannot guarntee that now, he cannot guarantee that in the future, he can't guarantee that at all unless a bill is passed explicitly stating an employer has to keep current plans ad infinitum as long as someone wants it. Yeah thats a bill that will make it to law. And of course, according to Obama AARP fully supports the plan, except they don't. Whats with Obama and AARP, does he really think all old people are stupid?
Now the latest WH whopper, misspeaking, whatever; the public option is no big deal, a small part of the plan, people practically rioting in the street over a little biddy nothing. Geez Louise, this is getting to be an embarassment.
We are not “red America” or “blue America,” Obama said during his run for the presidency, there is only “the United States of America.”
That was then and now is now.
We are not “red America” or “blue America,” he said during his run for the presidency—there is only me and smart America and stupid America who should STFU.
Not that the Dems are a worse bunch of fuk-ups then the Republicans, just that we could be spared the soaring rhetoric from the fuk-ups.
...has got to be the most dumbass political move of all time.
When Bush as asked about the protests agasint his Iraq policies, he would say with a smirk something to the affect, "Well thats whats great about this country and freedom, people can express their opinions." Translation; "I really don't give a fuk what the protesters have to say." As bad as that response is, it is better than Obams response.
For Obama and Dems to go out and call these people mobs, and un-American, and evil, well that was a combo Daley/Nixonian moment. And Dems calling the mob with their homemade half-assed signs "organized", when supoprters had professionally designed and produced stickers and signs - priceless.
Yes Rush is a douche bag. Now if only Obama and the condecending Dems could only frame an argument as effectively as Rush, or not spam the country with WH email, or at least not bring back spectors of Nixon with his enemies (email) list, or Bush with his keep an eye on your neighbor policiy, and avoid flat out Cheney type lies like Obamas AARP fully supports the bill statement, or if the task was not left to Congress which has an approval rating of 24% and collectively a brain the size of a walnut, reform might have had a chance.
Fifty-four percent is, by the way, a point more than Obama's standing in "the only poll that counts." Obama's final tally on Election Day 2008 was 52.92 percent. And with that context in mind a longer view of this admittedly vital measurement suggests that the 44th president of the United States is hardly in a real danger zone just yet.
Not so fast. If you look at the polls in terms of whom they poll, (likely voters vs registered voters vs general population, there is a large difference). Likely voters are not nearly so enamoured with Obama as the general population.
Average spread between approval and disapproval YTD 2009 (via RCP)
Of Adults polled 42% approved more than disapproved
Of Registered Voters polled 30% approved more than disapproved
Of Likely Voters polled 17% approved more than disapproved
But as noted the trend is severely downward. Recent polling has more Likely Voters disapproving then approving for the first time. Assuming likely voters are most likely to vote, Obama has got some potential hurt going on in the "only poll that counts."
Tazer has won almost every civil suit against them even though the burden of proof is ridiculously low in civil lawsuits, but the conclusion remains Tasers are killers. Ok, right.
Then the star "victims".
An obnoxious drunken person at a game freaking out everyone around him that probably should have been pummeled by the fans before the cops even got there.
A person with major depression, bipolar disorder, paranoia disorder, delusional disorder, and psychotic disorder having a manic episode in a courtroom. Isn't a better question wtf is he doing in court representing himself?
A stumble bum who decides to ride his bicycle through a police stop and then decides to go all constitutional, creates a scene, grabs a cops flashlight and whacks him with it. He needs to read up more on Gandhi civil disobedience techniques. It is disturbing that the cops tried to get the video of the incident and kudos to the folks who did not give it up.
The deaf disabled person is unfortunate, but some background here - why were cops called in the first place? Do the people at this establishment often call the cops on people going to the bathroom?
Excessive use of force by police is an issue; there must be better examples out there.
Great support and defense of fearless leader when someone criticizes his policies and actions. Now if you could only defend his policies and actions.
Like in health care - I get it, he is pushing a "change" concept, not a plan and I can see liberals eyes go blank and start lilting around like tall grass in a gentle breeze at the mention of "c h a n g e". Whatever. He and us remain clueless as to what actual plan he is pushing.
In the end another galling disingenuous Bush like moment, announcing with great moral authority he just wants honest debate, when in fact he was trying to ram a bill through in three weeks, without a clue as to what was in it, and not that it matterd anyway.
It's about "C h a n g e".
What a douche.
