How blind do you have to be

To be constantly hood winked by this guy.

"I've always said that the pace of withdrawal would be dictated by the safety and security of our troops and the need to maintain stability." -- Obama

AND THE NEED TO MAINTAIN STABILITY

Did you all miss that fukkin part? It leaves it wide open. Completely fukkin wide open. He plays both sides at the same time - the man speaks speaks with forked tongue.

His policy in practice, I don't give a shit about his mind-set, his policy in practice is exactly the same as McCains. Thats where he wants he to be on many issues, so the only difference between him and McCain is his glowing saccharin personality and flowery words.

Well you can finally celebrate change you can believe in while watching Obama continue to change into McBama.

"This expression of Obama's "intention" has so many equivocations and vague claims as to be worthless." -- GG

I find this true for a majority of BOs "positions".

Original article: Blurring the lines on Iraq

In Obamas own words - clear as nothing

"I've always said that the pace of withdrawal would be dictated by the safety and security of our troops and the need to maintain stability." -- Obama

That is about as an open-ended say nothing statement as you can make, kind of like saying, "We are winning in Iraq." Totally meaningless. Obama campaigned as the "end the Iraq war" candidate in the primaries, he is now "who knows what the right thing to do is, don't want to do anything rash" candidate.

You can call it refining, nuance, checking on new facts, etc etc.

But face it. You've been had.

Doesn't Matter

Whatever the two candidates spin out of this - it is BS - and the net result is the same. We will have a presence in Iraq for as long as we can get away with it. How many troops do we have stationed around the world? And McCain or Obama are going to give up our military presence on the biggest, richest oil reserve in the world?

If you believe that, boxes of "change" buttons are going at 50% off. Get'im while they're hot.

Original article: The McCain cartoon satire

No sense of Humour bodes ill wind

So get pissy if you want. It must be tough on Obama to get made fun of. Obama does not want himself being obscured or distorted with emotionalism, prejudice, etc. Obama reserves that right for himself. Whatever.

The cartoon did make a mockery of the lame criticisms against him, but Obama and his campaign is too self-important and arrogant now to see an opportunity. He could have laughed at the joke, but by taking it seriously Obama made it worse. What if Obama instead of saying "no comment", when asked about the cartoon said something like, "I imagine if Michelle did have an ak47 she probably could more easily convince me to do more things around the house." or "Well if I did have a picture of Bin Ladin in my house, it would have a big bulls-eye on it."

Original article: Rush Limbaugh was right

No one really wants to pay attention

Excerpt from this article on the New Yorker cover flap. http://www.newsweek.com/id/146217

--Lesley Stahl covered the Reagan White House for CBS News. One day in 1984 she broadcast a five-minute blistering report on how President Reagan was cutting funding for public health and for children with disabilities. After it aired, the late Richard Darman, a top Reagan aide, called and said, "Congratulations! We loved it!"

Stahl was dumbfounded. The piece had been a hatchet job.

"Nobody heard what you said," Darman told her. The pictures Stahl had used to "cover" her story were of Reagan cutting ribbons at hospitals and speaking at the Special Olympics. The White House knew that these warm images spoke a lot louder than anything Stahl was reporting.--

The excerpt shows how media images can work on people who are not really paying attention. So in that context I can see this upsetting to Obamas campaign, but by taking it seriously they made it worse. What if Obama instead of saying "no comment", said something like, "If Michele did have an ak47, she could probably get me to do a few more things around the house." or "Well if I did have a picture of Bin Ladin in my house, it would have a big bulls-eye on it."

To those who pay no attention, he will always be a Bin Ladin loving Muslim with a wife who goes around shooting white people with assault weapons, while heating their home by burning American flags. To those who do pay attention, he is overly self-important, arrogant and without a sense of humour.

legal ramifications

The legal ramifications and absurdities around granting personhood to a fertilized egg is is beyond imagination.

Should all mis-carriages be required death certificates and burial rights? Technically since most mis-carriages happen very early, they can be misconstrued as a heavy period, should all menstruation materials be required to be examined at a lab for signs of "persons"? Does conception then require a legal guardian assigned immediately to protect the rights of the fertilized egg? Who has superceding rights the fertilized egg or the mother. Who enforces those rights? Is overeating, or smoking, or lack of exercise by the mother a punishable crime since she may be harming the health of the fertilized egg she is carrying? Maybe the fertilized egg needs a bodyguard? How about fertilization camps where pregnant women are sent once they become pregnant so as to guarntee the rights of the fertilized egg/fetus/person she is carrying.

I know it's all absurd. Thats the point.
