It's not about the polls - it's about which polls

It's good to know the only "good" and "accurate" polls are the ones that show your candidate in the best light.

------------

There is some confusion amoung Obama supporters. Vetting and scrutinizing Rezco/Obama in Illinois should not be confused with vetting and scrutinizing Rezco/Obama nationally. NATIONALLY it has not been scrutinized. Many people do not even know who Rezco is.

My aching chakras...

What rumours/innuendo remain elevated while others disappear, whether McCain, Obama, or Clinton, all depend on one thing.

Ratings.

Regardless of the wanton stupidity of "news" and "punditry" content, that content remains in the top of the news cycle only as as long as it continues to sell.

--------------

And meanwhile my aching chakras remind me how spiritual beliefs often appear ridiculous when they are not your own.

Might want to drop the great uniter theme for awhile anyways

Obama continues campaigning on the the theme of being the great uniter while clearly not even uniting the Democratic party. But there is HOPE he and his supporters will be able to blame it all on the Clintons, which is what the Rush Limburger and crew have effectivley done for just about forever.

I see the theme in these posts morphing from "Hope and Change" into "It's not my fault".

Double Dman

"They Sound Like

They are lining up the excuse already. It's not very inspiring."

Damn. Another Lol moment from Notorious W.E.S.. But what the heck, "blame the Clintons" has worked for the GOP for the last 8 years, why CHANGE a winning strategy when it gives you HOPE.

Yep, no racism in the democratic party.

I'd rather vote for a crazy old POW (and I've voted Dem since 1972) than a lying manipulative weasal like Colin Powell, er Barak Obama.

None at all. -- Persia

Damn. The race card. Whoopee. Thats a winner too and totally not divisive. I never realized "lying manipulative weasal" were secret code words for black people. How about hypocrite, is that a secret code word for black people too? Just goes to show, anybody says "lying manipulative hypocrite weasel" to me, I think politician. To Obamites it means black people. Go figure.

Oh come on

Greenwald would save himself a lot of wet wipes if he realised the definition of a journalist is merely someone who writes for a publication (actually, not even that).

Yeah, see it's like the president, he's just someone who signs papers and stuff and hangs out at the white house because they have really good food there.

Santa Clause

Just as Santa Clause does not exist, the politician as saint does not and has never existed. Obamas history in Illinois is of a shrewd politician, for example using lawyers and technicalities to eliminate opponents and run unopposed - does not get shrewder or tougher than that.

And that is the rub. He is not new, and claims to be new. He is not higher but claims to be higher. He is not more politically moral, but claims to be. Hypocrisy is a standard attribute for a politician, but it bites deeper to those politicians who claim the high ground and then have their failings exposed. Put another way, it is not ok to imply sainthood and being above tough, spinning, sharp-elbowed, salt in the wounds politicking, and then practicing the same.

No one is going to convince me that Obamas character is superior or for that matter inferior to Clinton or McCain. I am open to Obama convincing me he has the potential to impact national policy and direction. So far, he has demonstrated ZERO potential in that regard. Convincing people to send him money is not the same as having leadership competency on a national level. TV evangelists are also incredibly adept at getting people to send them money - that by itself is not distinguishing.

Whether you hate or dislike Clintons or McCains positions, they have and continue to impact national policy and direction, Obama never has.

Maybe it comes down to this. I am tired of the ideology and incompetence of the last 7 years, but if I have to get only one quality in a president, I will settle for competency.

Original article: Quote of the day

I have better idea...

...than having all Clinton and Obama supporters go home.

anarprimarism [(an-uhr-prime-ar-iz-uhm)]

The belief that all existing democratic primaries should be abolished and replaced by something that makes fukkin sense.
