Original article: Obama's borrowed words

Miles davis a plagerist?!

"-- so that if Obama ever DOES get the nomination, they can just hop aboard the bandwagon and pretend they were part of the Obama phenomenon all along. -- virtue001"

Nice of you all to admit it's a "phenomenon", kind of like Britney Spears or Michael Jackson, I guess. I really do not ever want to be associated to a "phenomenon", especially political, it suggests shallow, excuse the term, ditto head, or immature pre-teenage girl type behaviour.

Reality is wonderful, try it. It was NOT just a phrase or a "couple of words" stolen, the whole fukkin premise, and theme and delivery of Devals speech was lifted and duplicated.

So shocked to learn they have the same campaign manager, Maybe like Phil Spector was the genious behind all those girl bands, Obama and Devals campign manager is the genius behind Deval and Obama. BTW, Mass. voters after falling for the wonderful marketing engine that elected Deval did not fall for same marketing engine on Obamas behalf. Probably due to being comically disppointed in Devals comical governing ability.

I guess it all comes down to this, words are important until they sound like someone elses words, or they sound dumb-ass like invading Pakistan, then they are not important.

Greenwald, a long-time rightwinger, gets too much attention anyway.--Anonymous

If this is the same Anonymous @ 3:42, then please note the view is much better when head is removed from sand. If not Anonymous @ 3:42 still a good idea to remove head from sand.

Otherwise, the entirety of jazz is plagerism

Listen there are only eight whole notes in Jazz, musicians are not plagerizigng each other because they use the same 8 notes, 32 bar structures or improvise in the key of E. When did Miles Davis ever sound llke Thelonius monk? When did Obama sound like Deval? See, I mean hear the difference? To be this tone-deaf convinces me that ObamaMania is like a government experimental virus gone out of control.

Day late and a dollar short, Joan -- Steve1us

Then why the fuk over 15 pages of posts.

popularity contest

Obama won this debate like Bush won all his debates with Gore and Kerry.

Asking who "won" the debate is useless, it's like asking a bunch of pre-teens which one of their Idols won if American Idol contestants had a debate.

You should see my cat

Cruel to eat meat

I am simply astonished. How can people eat animals?

I think you would be chagrined to see how my cat plays with her prey before eating it, semi-alive I am sure at times.

Animals eat animals. Humanity as much as we would like to think we are not, are still in fact animals. In certain ways better (we can contemplate our actions and our origins and motives) and in many ways the same (kill for territory or food), and in some ways worse (we have sex mostly for sport).

For Christmas sake, we are a country that debates the value of torturing human beings. And even outside of national concerns the human on human daily cruelty that occurs mentally, emotionally, and physically is indescribable

Sure, it would be nice if we retained some scrap of basic humanity and morality by leading cows to slaughter in a more humane way, however I am certainly not astonished that we can’t even do that and it has nothing to do with eating meat.

Original article: GOP politics in a nutshell

GOP Irrefutable Logic

Since Taxation without representation is tyranny, then surveillance without representation must be... freedom.

Just goes to show

...words are important, well... except when they're not.

I don't know whats worse, the apologists for Shuster like hutman, or Shusters half-assed apologies.

Hey Shuster-haters,

I assume you are just as angry at Bill O'Reilly and Fox over O'Reilly's truly heinous remark regarding Michelle Obama. --Anonymous @ 10:11 PM

I assume Anonymous@10:11 should lighten up on the dumb-ass pills.

Original article: McCain: Reformer or phony?

Phony? Is that a serious question?

McCain is a politician.

Politician is spelled p h o n y.

So the question is silly. A better question is how far in bed is he with lobbyists? How would you measure this against other politician/lobbyist relationships? Is there evidence of quid pro quo in his dealings with lobbyists?

But if you want to continue with silly questions, I've always wanted to know what group contributes to a greater percentage of the Washington DC population - lobbyists or prostitutes?

A question for Mikey McConnell and AGl Mikey Mukasey

If taxation without representation is tyranny, what is surveillance without representation?

Freedom?

Headline: GOP caught standing around

In the GOP “America at Risk” Video when the “Breaking News: House republicans walk out….” headline came up, I thought the headline could have more accurately reflected the video if it stated:

“Breaking News: House republicans walk out and stand around."

Further voice over could have speculated that maybe they thought they were supposed to catch a bus and then became confused when no such bus was forthcoming.
