"It takes one to know one" is never more true than when listening to amateur psychologists. -- Anonymous @ February 18, 09:20 PM

So you’re hypothesizing GG’s psyche based on the fact he is hypothesizing about the psyche of those who preach blood and violence behind the safety of their keyboards?

    Clever, can you juggle too?

In other words if it takes one to know one, then you admit that you are also what you accuse GG of. Around and around it goes, like the trick with two mirrors facing each other.

    Not very productive.

Maybe it would be more helpful to get to the substance of the article which I see as being about:

what the fuk is up with all this perpetual war bullshit.

  • Is there anything uglier than a sore loser?

[Read the article: Clinton attacks Obama for focusing on rhetoric, Obama gets long-winded]

    Yes.

    Pompous, self-agrandizing, and un-gracious winners.

Deval Patrick, silver tongued, great campaigner, progressive, and a nice guy was also a winner when he was elected Governor of Massachusettes. As a governor so far his claim to fame, besides his many administrative stumbles, bringing more casinos to Massacusettes. Whoopee. If Obama is as "successful" at being president as Deval is as Governor there won't be cheering in the streets.

While we are looking at winners, in the last two weeks, McCain has cut Obabmas head to head lead in polls in half. Is McCain gaining momentum? Everyone likes to talk momentum right?

  • SIGNIFICANT examples please

[Read the article: "Name some of Barack Obama's legislative accomplishments ... if you can" ]

Here we go, now we get to endure the Obama resume bloaters - where "co-sponsored", "supported", and "helped" suddenly in candy-land is the exact equivalent of author and then pass a fukkin law.

Obama has been in the Senate for three years, when has his name ever come up related to anything controversial or important? Where has he shown any SIGNIFICANT leadership at all in the Senate? When has he ever been a goto guy in the Senate?

Look at how often Obama has been in the news concerning critical senate matters in the last three years. Now look how often McCain or CLinton has been in the news concerning important Senate legislation in the last three years. Compare and contrast. You don't have to like McCain or Clinton positions to know they as of today are doers and leaders in more things than getting elected.

Obama is selling you on the idea thet he will become that great leader, but for Christmas sake at least admit he is not that much of a leader now.

And sorry running an excellent campaign is no sign of a great national leader. It's a sign of a great campaigner. Look at GW. He got his sorry unqualified butt elected time after time and has demonstrated zero leadership skills in between his campaigns. Deval Patrick is another example of great campaigner, lousy leader and I am sure there are many examples of this in the Congress.

So if you are going into this on the HOPE that Obama can CHANGE and develop into a great leader, then fine, the hope and change jingle has even more resonance.

  • Disgrace

[Read the article: The quest for universal healthcare]

Health insurance companies have contributed torwards turning Health care into a breeding ground for unchecked greed. Does anyone deny that Health Insurance companies largely contributed to skyrocketing health care costs?

Health insurance companies can pay more than individuals can, so providers charge more, leading to health insurance companies raising premiums, leading to higher provider charges since what the heck, the Insurance Company can afford it by simply raising premiums again. It is a cycle that has turned the health care system into a system of blood sucking leeches. Ok maybe that hyperbole is too strong. Well, maybe not.

On top of these skyrocketing costs leading to extravagant profits for all, Health insurance is all administrative cost. They do not provide any service outside of collecting money and then distributing it. On top of that, Health care providers have administrative costs associated with dealing with the administrative needs of the health insurance companies. Add the administrative costs of government regulations providing oversight to the relationship between insurance companies and providers and you have a huge and expensive cluster screw of administrative costs whose sole benefit is profit for Health Insurance companies.

Both the candidates plans suck, with Obamas being next to useless if not stupid. Following Obamas logic, why not have just those "who can afford it or want it" pay for public education? Clintons plan starts to head in the right direction but then goes off the rails with continued support for private health insurance companies, who can then continue to strangle the system with overhead, continue to drive costs up, and suck dollars away from actual health care.

  • Sigh...

[Read the article: Yes, Watson can list Obama's accomplishments -- now]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Interesting. many of Obamas accomplishments cited seem to point to, let's see, oh the Obama site. Gosh, I just love unbiased sources too.

Especially since unlike other politicians, Obama never exaggerates, panders, performs self-serving changes of position or falls into self-serving obfuscation.

    Sigh...

By the way I bet many of us have had many accomplishments like Obamas which are tied to objectives worked at but not accomplished.
