Rise to Being

National Existence is political order experienced by men of the nation as a Rise to Being. Its opposite is a replacement of political order experienced by men, women, children and slaves as a Fall from Being.
According to Dave, if you get what he is preaching, you are SANE (capitalization by Dave), however as shown by the quote above ambiguous obtuseness is apparently a requirement of sanity. What I think Dave is saying in this the first line of his Web site is there is a new political order supported by men who have risen to some level of Being. Since Being is capitalized, it must refer in Daves mind as some specificly identified and exalted state for only superior men. The opposite and what is dragging down the men who are "Rising to Being" are women, children and slaves. I could see David having some bad experiences with women and even children leading him to his unfortunate world-view, but when did he experience slaves first hand? And is he really saying it's uppity slaves screwing up mans higher calling?
This is acid trip mumbo jumbo spawned from ridiculous base assumptions and I guess bigotry but the mumbo jumbo is so thick it can be tough to tell. Regardless, it makes Dave the perfect addition to Chalabi and Curve-Ball as the brain trust centerpieces for neo-con foreign policy.
Sometimes I wish I could be a wing nut, and serve my country by just making up crazy chit: It was Saddams biological factories that created a food additive which was slowly, over time leaked into our food processing plants. This is what is really accountable for the death rates in our country. If it weren't for Saddam, white men could live to at least 100, having a number of young wives along the way. This is being covered up by Bill Clinton (Hillary doesn't know) who has the antidote but wants the antidote only for himself and a small group of South American leftist scientists (more on this later). Bush and conservatives are helpless because Clinton has videos of high ranking conservatives from Reagan to the present in compromising (if not disgusting) situations and are hoping somehow they can politically leverage Clinton into sharing the antidote with them. They tried to break Clinton with Monica but that failed. They tried invading Iraq to get it from Saddam but he would rather die than share the antidote with the west. The biggest question challenging our nation is how did Clinton get the antidote from Saddam and now that Saddam is dead how do we get the antidote from Clinton. Call your congressman and demand an answer.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]On the one hand we have the image of Halberstam, surrounded by military brass up the wazoo, in a foreign land and war zone pubicly standing up and speaking back to a Major General who was trying to apply the smack down on him.
On the other hand we have Politico coverage of the "best party" and "most sought after ticket" with "journo names" and "beltway insiders" or in other words a celebrity report of the self-aggrandizing rich and vacuous.
Comparing these two images is too much to bear.

After slavery was abolished white people enforced their racial superiority over black people. Enforced racial superiority. Sinking in? One of the symbols and mechanisms of this right of ownership and superiority was calling black people "niggers". Damn, of course the word was taken away from white people.
As far as rap, the lyrics can be extremely powerful or can be exploitive, which is not unique. Sex and violence sells across all media from movies to music to the internet to cable news - rap is in step with our modern media, not breaking new ground. I'd rather go to the dentist than listen to rap or C&W for that matter, but the dust up about rap is BS. Now, excuse me while I put on Coltranes "A Love Supreme" and have a moment of transcendance.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]The Wikipedia entry supplied in these postings in order to support the claim of liberal bias does so by referencing a conservative bloviater like O'Reilly and Brent Bozell who never saw a fact that was not superceded by his ideology. Wow, now there's substantive support for a claim.
Since it was implied, did I miss how many interviews Moyers turned down? Perception necrosis got you down? As far as the guerilla interview, I wouldn't want to go on O'Reillys program because debating someone with a brain the size of a walnut and a megaphone for a mouth is never very productive, but did O'Reilly claim that Moyers declined to be on his program and therefore had to respond with an ambush? Or is O'Reilly just a coward? I take back the question, bullies are cowards.
All of this useless drivel is to support what? That heaven forbid, Moyers, an American citizen seeks to help elect political candidates. What if he actually votes for someone. In wing nut land thats the worst thing a progressive could do.
In a trial, impeaching a witness is ok when there is substantive evidence undermining credibility or demonstrating bias. It's perception necrosis when there is overwelming corroborating evidence supporting the testimony and yet undermining credibility or showing bias is still pursued. In the case of Moyers program, I have not seen criticism of content, only lame criticism of Moyers as an individual.
