Sooner or later

That aide whomever it was, has a terric sense of sarcasm.

As far as Obamas technology savy, Obama got some silicon valley heavyweights to get creative and further exploit the internet for fund raising. Kind of how evangelists figured out how to use TV to increase their revenue stream. Isn't communication technology great at getting money from the most amount of people possible?

Yes technology at work, like over at the Obamas fightTheSmears.com, they actually ask you for your email password. Ignoring that some may not appreciate being spammed by friends or associates, any site (one representing a government official no less), that asks for your password is enough to make the Electronic Frontier Foundation throw up on their shoes and should be compared to killing babies and then nuked from existence.

In the end it's a choices between young and stupid and old and stupid. Apparently that's progress.

Instead of debating young vs old lets get real, let's focus on our similarities. Young, old, doesn't matter, we are all going to be dead sooner or later.

Nuke it

Ignoring that some may not appreciate being spammed by friends or associates for any reason, any site (one representing a government official no less), that asks for your password is enough to make the Electronic Frontier Foundation throw up on their shoes and so should be nuked from existence.

Elitism

I don't think liberals/pregressives/democrats ever got that elitism has nothing to do with the amount of money you have or make or even what college you went to.

It may be a good idea to start figuring that out.

Political Hack

If this latest opinion from Scalia doesn't label him as a political hack more than a judge, I don't know what will. Since when are court opinions based on alleged events as in "released detainees allegedly returned to the battle field"?

Unfortuntely we have CREATED an epic mess in Guantanamo, that like Iraq itself has created and will continue to create large amounts of human suffering.

And we do not have an "Undo" button.

Original article: Debating debates

You can call it...

smart politics when a front runner decides to forego debates, but whatever you do, don't call it the fukkin politics of hope.

Does this mean...

...if Penn worked for Obama, Obama would have lost?

Maybe we have gotten to the point where we elect campaign managers, not presidents.

So companies never screen candidates before hiring?

Just Tuesday, Obama had querulously complained about having to "hire the vetter to vet the vetters."

Yo hello Obama dude, you are responsible for hiring the person who will direct the selection of potentially the next VP of the United States of America. Yes, you dumb-ass, need to know who you are hiring before you hire them.

God almighty, this guy is either scary stupid, or scary dishonest, or both.

SOP

Misogyny directed at strong women used to be Standard Operating Procedure only for the republican political machine.

Now as we found in the Democratic primaries, it is an accepted tactic for any political machine.

Thursday, June 12, 2008 07:28 AM

Huh?

"I think that it's not realistic to do all 10 given all the campaigning that I have to do since we just finished our primary election"

It should be impossible for a democrat to lose in the current poltical environment with a weak opponent like McCain. Obama making statements like the above, helps make it possible. It makes him sound like he is making lame excuses to cover a yellow streak. And since when is meeting your opponent head to head not related to campaigning?

I am still pissed at the Democratic party for nominating this stooge.

Bigotry

The issue is not whether Obama was a Muslim at some time or not. The issue is that it is irrelevant, bigoted and ignorant to make being a Muslim an issue.

What I wonder is if the Obama campiagn will respond with - oh no Obama really does love the baby Jesus and is a true red, white and blue Christian, which is equally irrelevant, bigoted and ignorant.

Thanks for nuance...

...and since when has nuance won a presidential election?

If the message gets out there that Obama is soft on bad guys then the ad was successful, if it doesn't, then it was not successful. Facts are just devices for politicians and their operatives to twist and turn to their advantage. Obama does it. McCain does it. And 527s do it in spades.

Some may say it is being extremely exaggerative or just advocating for a position and others may say it's not that complicated, it is just plain dishonest. Whatever it is, it is a virtue in a presidential campaign.

Welcome to life.

The difference between Obamas site and sites like Malkin Idiots Inc. type sites is that the owners/editors of the site spew hatefull scrazy chit while on Obamas site only independent posters do.

And moderation is not the answer, the power of the internet is that no one is in control. Who the fuk would you want to moderate the Daily Kos - Tim Russert? Keep the internet free and open, and so what, you have to deal with people who act like aholes. Welcome to life.

Dump Johnson?

Fine no great loss, not an exactly great VP picker and not exactly a poster boy for Obamas "Change we can believe in" flimflam.

Would be better if Obama supporters were calling to dump Obama.

Denial

Change and Hopes latest message:

If it's not illegal then it must be ethical.

Denial is a river in Egypt.

Whatever.
