Maybe this issue has a Class Warfare facet
[Read the article: Ask the pilot]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]In the USA, how often do TSA people fly? Maybe they come from lower class backgrounds, and cannot afford to fly, or just do not.
Most US air travelers assume this to be the case, I believe. Maybe they tend to look down on the TSA people. So that we get two-way hostility. The TSA people believe the travelers are snotty, and the travelers assume the TSAers are stupid.
Maybe???

Still, Brief cannot modify Tattoo, unless it's jargon, maybe????
[Read the article: Opus]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I can think of ways this might have made sense:
For example: That penguin could have said that he wanted a tattoo of Bush on his Bikini Line, and then B.B. could have showed Bush in a bikini...
Am I stoopid? Are we getting last-minute, poorly-written cartoons from a big-timer? That Muslim-slut cartoon was better than this cartoon.

Bangkok Rocks!
[Read the article: When trains and markets collide]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]In Detroit, we have only about two Amtraks per day... And we have plenty of space, no need to pitch our tents on the tracks...
We have a lovely old train staion with a million wondows, now broken up as far as anybody can throw a rock, about a two-thords of a million.
Bangkok cooks. Motown waits. You can get a nice spot here, far and safe from the train. But we are just as ambitious as those kok bangers. Come and look. Come here. Safer than Bangkok, and closer, easier.

Draft is not the worst idea in the world...
[Read the article: Must be more "phony soldiers"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]But it certainly will not happen now! Our leaders will not want their kids and grandchildren in the Army in Iraq. Maybe if we had had some sort of a draft back in 2002, Americans would have prevented W. Bush from invading Iraq.

Like a Mass Murderer Cutting the Grass to Beautify the Cemetery...
[Read the article: Genocide: An inconvenient truth]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]... While he has dead people in his basement, and frozen body parts in his fridge.
Turks and other people may not understand how divided the people of the USA are right now. If this Armenian resolution hinders W. Bush's evil work in Iraq, it is a good thing. Anything that gets my friends and family out of Iraq is good for us, good for Iraq, and good for Turkey.
Can this work, as a gesture showing that many (maybe most) Americans abhor murder, torture, and injustice? Is the US House of Representatives that clever and that devious?

Scheduling Question
[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Maybe the Injuns will beat the Bosox in the next two games.
Then, if both teams want to do it, they could start the World Series early. They already have League Playoff dates scheduled. Could they use them for the first couple Series games?
King, you were right-on when you told us that last year's layoff hurt the Tigers. So the Injuns might want to play right through, and the Rockies probably would like a shorter layoff.

This Kind of Info Wasn't Available Before the Internet
[Read the article: Daily wanking]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Holy Jergens Lotion, Batman! English guys!
Eight Days a Week! Like the Beatles song! The Beatles were and are English. Do we need to put a new interpretation on "A Day in the Life?" Do you remember their first hit, "I Wanna Hold My Dick?" "Twenty years ago today" would be 8,320 loads down the drain!
Wow! Twist and Shout! These English guys need to find An Octopussy's Garden, and cool it with the Nowhere Man behavior.

No,no, no, no, no... Yes?
[Read the article: Super Conduit to the rescue!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I have been waiting since 1977 to get a high-paying fixed income (= interest-paying) investment. Is this it? Is this the quite-safe 9%+ investment?
If so, buy it, my friends! If interest rates go down in the future, you still will get your 9%, or if you sell, you will get a huge gain on your original investment.
Is this it, again, finally? Somebody tell me, please.

Specific Info to Refute Lying Presidential Generalities
[Read the article: Another SCHIP family smeared]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I heard Janet Olsewski, Michigan Director of Community Health, talk about SCHIP on the readio today. Here is the real story:
We have tens or hundreds of thousands of poor kids who already are eligible for this coverage, in our state alone, but they do not get it because their parents have not signed them up. This is NOT some new, upward-defined eligibility. It is the existing, "old" law.
#2: The god-awful federal government still has the option to keep any individual state from granting benefits to "rich" kids, even under the new law.
This whole W. Bush Veto is a pile of manure. Impeach him.
You probably can hear the excellent, non-political Janet Olsewski of Michigan if you google wdet.org, the Detroit Public Radio station.

American Tradition
[Read the article: Genocide: An inconvenient truth]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Do you know that the Us Army Seventh Cavalry was the main Genocide Division versus Native Americans, and that that same unit proudly is serving in Iraq right now?
General Custer, General Petraeus, General Tragedy.

Background Info for the Righteous
[Read the article: Another SCHIP family smeared]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]When you work at a country club, you do not get tips. It's a glorious American tradition.
So, this lady went to a real server job, where on a good night she can make a little money via tips, rather than subsisting on minimum wage at the country club.

Nice Lecture On Finance, C.T.
[Read the article: Super Conduit to the rescue!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]But just stay quiet, please, for a while. You will have other chances to comment tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow.
The rest of y'all: Please note what C.T. said about borrowing monmey at 1% in Japan, and loaning it out elsewhere. Most of us Americans believe this is silly stuff, but we are wrong. We could have been doing this for the past ten years, and gotten rich.

I Have Said It Here Before
[Read the article: Countrywide's Angelo Mozilo: Busted?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Angelo is a greedy sleeze. I just looked at Countrywide's stock prices. Now Countrywide shares sell about $17. A year ago, and six months ago, they were about double that.
So Angelo could have stuck with his plan, and taken in "only" about $65.3 Million, and he still would be unbelievably rich, and he could stay out of jail, and he still would own some stock, which stock still could rise in value.
Does Angelo have big loan-shark payments to make? Why the rush? Why so greedy?
