What would O'Reilly like us to do with the homeless people? I don't watch his show (trying to control my blood pressure) so I haven't heard his opinions on this topic. Didn't Jesus tell us we should look after the poor? And does it not occur to him that a city where housing is so expensive and the climate is mild enough to not make living on the street deadly in the winter would be a place with many homeless? I remember reading an article about NYC having half as many homeless as LA but spending twice as much on them. I'm sure another big California city like San Franciso has similar problems. There I go being enlightened, informed, and analytical again. Oops!
My first two cars were Volvos. Then I got sick of visiting the mechanic every month and bought a small, used Toyota that gets over 30 mpg. I love it but imagine myself in 3 years living in a place that gets a lot of snow, restoring furniture (and therefore hauling it around) and owning a couple dogs. I'm hoping there's a great hybrid SUV on the market by then and I can make up for my evil-doing by living in a city where the grocery store and entertainment venues (libraries, restaurants, movies) are within walking distance.
