fellow truthers

Well Done! The people here are intelligent, rational, critical thinking individuals. Some will leave here curious enough to do their own research & some will not. Just getting some people to simply view the news footage again without the shock & fear is an accomplishment. Mr. Greenwald's article may not be about controlled demolitions, or the violations to Newton's laws of conservation of momentum & energy, but it is about the truth of a particular aspect of 9/11. Remember, our numbers our huge & they grow world wide every day. This truth cannot be stopped, it will be exposed & we will not ridicule the people who believe the official story.

You may find this 1970 documentary interesting. It's called "Building the World Trade Center"

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3135892053682639810

There were 47 steel core columns that supported the elevators & stairwells. These columns shared the loads with the perimeter columns as well. You may view the original blueprints here: ae911truth.org

A building made of mostly air would not withstand 100 MPH winds.

A single event

So here we are in America talking about torture & 4th Amendment. We will discuss the Patriot Act & the Protect America Act, the wiretapping & the unitary executive. We'll talk about how every single person in the Bush administration is a proven liar. We can talk about the money being made in Iraq by Halliburton, Blackwater & all the other building & defense contractors. Then we can talk about how the media ignores all of it & ridicules war protesters & 9/11 truthers & anybody else that dares to question anything. All of this is of course necessary to keep America safe & questioning any of it emboldens the evil-doers. What is it that scared us so much to allow this? Something must have happened that "changed everything". Don't you think it's about time we put 2 & 2 together?

Continuation of National Emergency

This may be a bit off topic but it's important everyone knows this & I didn't know where else to post it.

We are still under a national state of emergency.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/09/20070920-9.html

That means that the Continuity of Government may be in affect.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/05/20070509-12.html

Would these things have any affect on what the role of the media is today? Could it affect what they report & how they report it?

If this is old news & nobody cares, nevermind.

Still under a National State of Emergency

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/09/20070912-2.html

We are still under a national state of emergency. Is this why impeachment is "off the table"? Is this why there is no accountability? Are executive emergency powers in affect? Can anybody answer this?

Can we impeach?

Why can't we begin impeachment proceedings, if nothing else as to prevent Bush from pardoning anyone (including Libby) when he leaves office? --farbie

If it's known that our government bodies, or military, are breaking the law, why is it so damn difficult to bring charges? --jonnymac27

Is there anyone here with the legal expertise to answer; can we impeach the president during a national emergency?

Cannot Impeach

@Jim White

Thanks for the reply. I found this:

http://www.concordbridge.net/NSPD-51.htm

I don't think impeachment is considered a "National Essential Function". If NSDP-51 is actually in place, Congress may not have a whole lot of say so about anything.

9/11 anybody?

Wow, a couple more stories like this one & people might start questioning the Bush/Established Media version of 9/11. Nineteen cavemen armed with flying lessons & box cutters defeating the best air defense in the world doesn't sound very realistic anymore does it?

National Emergency

The United States is in a state of national emergency. COG was put into effect on 9/11/2001. Pretending to be confused about the situation really is getting old.

The neocons

underestimated the number & the power of logical, rational, informed & unfearing voters. They believe everyone thinks the same way they do.

Before the terrorist attacks

of Sept. 11, 2001,dedicating 20,000 troops to domestic response -- a nearly sevenfold increase in five years -- "would have been extraordinary to the point of unbelievable,"

There have been other policies created or changed that would have been "extraordinary to the point of unbelievable" without 9/11. I believe Mr. Greenwald has written about all of them.

I found something on 911truth.org yesterday that you might be interested in. Dr. David Ray Griffin's presentation of "9/11 & Nationalist Faith".

http://kpfa.org/archives/index.php?arch=30324

In the first half he talks about the evidence for the official conspiracy theory vs the alternative conspiracy theory. In the second half he talks about America's nationalist faith & how many American's will not even look at the evidence because of it.

The Jersey girls have sent an open letter to Sen. Leahy regarding the creation of a truth commission to investigate the Bush administration's admitted crimes. It's a good perspective from people who have been down this road before. Link at sig.
