That accounts for a lot.
....is what I meant.
Of course Ralph is going to place Gore and Bush in the same 'establishment' camp in 2000.... He was running for office.
Now he's advocating, which is what he does best.
Here's a happy little tune I'm hoping the Obama campaign will pick up, but I'm not holding my breath. It was written for the '06 election cycle.

(hit the little 'play' arrow at the top of the page!)
The lyrics go like dis:
We Can Do Better ‘08 (for Barack Obama)
Cats and dogs got nothin' on us
The way we fight, the way we fuss
You say high, I say low
You say stop, I say no
We been walkin' on the dark side of the moon
But a change is due and it can't come too soon
I do believe (you and me together)
Together, we can do better
A brand new day together
Together, we can do better
Shake off the fear stand up to the night
Takes more strength to make love than it does to fight
The big wheel turns, it's comin' around
We're gonna find our feet on common ground
Rise above the strife and stress
With compassion and tenderness
Drop the gloves walk into the light
Takes more courage to make peace than it does to fight
I do believe (you and me together)
We can do better
A brand new day together
Together, we can do better
We been down so long it looks like up to me
And if it's up to me
I'll rise up and say I still believe!
Together, we can do better
A brand new day together
We can do better
You and me
Together, we can do better
A brand new day together
Together, we can do better
We can do better
You and me

While I agree that McCain was his usual cranky self and didn't achieve much in the debate, I think y'all ought to take a look at the replay. Right before Brokaw said 'You guys are blocking my script!' McCain and Obama came together and shook hands.
Having already shaken hands once was, apparently, enough for McCain. No big slight.
My 13 year old son, who loves most movies, agrees, saying of the remake: "That was a stinker."
