  • realities well known anti-feminist bias

[Read the article: Warning men about "gray rape"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Nice of you to skip over the qualitative and quantitative aspects of the op-ed that debunked the "1 in 4 women will be raped" chestnut, and instead focused on the "grey rape" quip. Which is basically if a drunk man and a drunk women get it on and the woman regrets it in the morning, it's rape.

And to throw that bit about "warning men" back in your face, why aren't feminists doing more to combat false allegations of rape? Generally the most that happens to the accuser is that she's charged with filing a false police report, while the innocent man can sent to prison for years, where he has a good chance of being raped, for real.

And why aren't feminists up in arms over women receiving slaps on the wrist for raping underage boys - boys who may be forced to pay child support once they turn 18 if the rape results in a pregnancy.

  • uh, no they don't

[Read the article: Who would the GOP rather face?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Polls consistently show Obama beating McCain by a decent margin, but Hillary eeking out a slight win or losing by as many points as Obama would win by.

  • how can it be terrorism if you aren't terrified?

[Read the article: Is Briana Waters a terrorist?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

These people are attacking buildings, not people. That makes it arson and/or industrial sabotage, but not terrorism. Those who insist otherwise are like those who persist in calling copyright infringement "theft".

Using a lesser term (but one that actually *fits*) in no way reduces the offense committed. A pirate ring that sells counterfeit DVD's or software isn't stealing anything, but can still be held liable for millions of dollars and may serve some time.

The people who set fire to these buildings are *arsonists*, not terrorists. If caught and convicted they will be held liable for damages and serve time in prison. But they are. not. terrorists.

Otherwise, we should ditch all descriptors for crimes such as murder, arson, vandalism and fraud, and use a nice term like baby-raping-cannibalism for everything. Cheat on your taxes? Baby-raping-cannibalism. Busted for drunk driving? Baby-raping-cannibalism.

  • Obama won Texas, not Hillary

[Read the article: Hillary Clinton's tough week]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Remember there's a caucus after the primary; when you total them up Obama got more delegates from Texas than Hillary did.

On Dailykos, somebody did a nice piece a while back showing that every day there was a primary contest, he either tied Hillary or beat her in the delegate count. I don't know if that continued through March 4th, but Obama finished the week by increasing his lead by 15 delegates or so.

This thing really should have been wrapped up after Wisconsin with Hillary 'suspending her campaign' and endorsing Obama. If some disaster did befall the Obama campaign, the delegates would be free to make Hillary the nominee instead.

And Joan, I'm shocked, shocked! that you went easier on Hillary over tall tales she told than you were on Obama for something someone said when he wasn't even in the state at the time, and for a Fox News sound byte taken out of context. Well, maybe not that shocked.

  • 3x as many women senators voted for Iraq war than black men have served in the Senate!

[Read the article: Americans more ready for a black president than a woman?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Obama is the second black man to serve in the Senate. Ever. Carol Mosley Brown makes it three. There are more women in the Senate that voted for the Iraq war than blacks who have served in the same body.

As radio host Cenk Uygur put it a couple weeks ago during when the Rev. White "controversy" blew up, he'd like to ask Ferraro if she still thought that Obama was lucky to be black. And to be named Hussein! How lucky can one politician get in America?

So Joan, why don't you find out what bridge Geraldine is hiding under, and go troll with her. If your columns are a cynical attempt to crank up the hits with your cute flamebait pieces, well, Adblock takes care of that.

  • what a surprise: another troll article from Salon

[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Barring a dead girl or a live boy, Obama's lead in states won, votes cast and pledged delegates is insurmountable. Yet Hillary and her supporters are determined to tear him down in an attempt to take the nomination.

    She's lost. Deal with it.

You're moving into Zell Lieberman territory, where you're driving the party to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory for the 3rd time in a row, just to appease your ego and sense of entitlement.

    p.s.

It seems obvious that someone has read some John Dvorak columns and figure they can go under the bridge to rack up the hits. Adblock takes care of that though, you pathetic concern trolls.

  • it's not the hardware, because Linux starts up far faster on the same configuration

[Read the article: Let's fight: Popular Mechanics says Macs beat PCs in style and speed]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Have you seen Akira? Remember the scene where Tetsuo bloats up grotesquely, filling up the stadium? That's Vista. Microsoft's usual expanding bloat + gobs of DRM makes for a slow, shitty, fat assed operating system.

And for those of you whining about running Windows apps on a Mac, that's as lame as bitching about 3 button mice. Between Boot Camp, Parallels and the CrossOver products, you probably can't find a computer these days that runs more software than an Intel Mac.

  • much ado about nothing (Ayers)

[Read the article: Obama and Clinton fizzle in Philly]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

since Obama was only 8 when Ayers bombed the Pentagon.

Dear God. And this is devoid of substance to you???

It is when people make shit up, Veronica. Ayers didn't bomb the Pentagon, and all charges against him were dropped. But you can call up Sean Hannity and thank him for the hit piece.
