Choke again and again and again.

Joan, where have you been for the last 3 months? Joe Biden has referenced his family tragedy 5,000 times.

Why I love America

Joan,

You have to step out of your bubble more often. The speech was a very plain, old, high school worthy, "What America Means To Me". I'm sure her thoughts were hope that she could make everyone forget the past. People didn't buy it and I just don't see her making many sales during this campaign.

Race card redux.

Obama is trying to do to McCain what he did to Bill and Hillary. It does not appear to be working and actually backfiring. I think this is the point where McCain gets his own personal Spiro Agnew to hit back hard while he remains Presidential. Watch out here comes Romney

Bad Haircut

I'm sorry but that $400 haircut that he billed to his campaign has forever ended any hope of national politcal office. It's unfortunate but that's the way it is.

Original article: Hillary's final curtain

A new glass ceiling

At the beginning of the primary season I did not think that Sen. Clinton had much of a chance. She had not been against the war at the beginning. She was not much of a public speaker. She was dull. The media was totally against her. Racism was rampant not to mention sexism and this was from the people who supported Obama. What happened? She fought like I haven't seen anyone fight since RFK. She became articulate. She was delivering rousing speeches. No matter how you look at it, she got more votes than any other candidate who ever ran for President. All this from a woman. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe we have ever heard rousing speeches from a woman. Maybe bitchy speeches from the likes of Faye Dunaway doing Joan Crawford but is this a first? Has Sen. Clinton set a new glass ceiling for rousing speeches with substance that you can remember and take with you and think about them and hope and not forget? Can Senators Obama and McCain even get anywhere this new cieling?

Silly comparison.

As someone who remembers 1964 and 1968 very well, this is the dumbest observation of the current politcal campaign thus far.

Poor Obama

The man is a genius. Who else could get Bush elected twice? As a political junkie, I can't wait to see what he is going to do to Obama.

Demographics

With the demographics of the general election, Obama might as well concede now.

Original article: Why Obama denounced Wright

Obama/Wright

All of this Obama/Wright hoopla is beginning to look awfully contrived to me. As the Rev. Wright said he is open to vice-president. Maybe we are getting a preview of Obama/Wright.

No more worries for Obama

After today Obama is through. The MSM won't like it, the race has been very lucrative for them but even they won't be able to keep Obama afloat. The Rev. Wright will make sure of that. Oh, the tales that he can tell. I can't wait to hear them.

The good news for Obama is that he won't have to worry anymore about his name coming up in the Rezko trial.

Poor New York Times

Poor New York Times they jumped the gun and embarrassed themselves. They went with the editorial before the 10%+ Clinton victory. They referred to her victory as inconclusive. They were probably going with Drudge's 52/48 call, shades of Truman/Dewey. Their credibility has been suspect for years even before their phony reporting on the leadup of the Iraq war. Ask John McCain if you don't believe me. The NYT is losing money. Poor Sulzberger, I can see Murdoch looking over his shoulder.

Obama's loooong speech

What a boring long winded campaign speech. Is this what we have to look forward to? He just kept going and he kept repeating himself. There was no inspiration. He was listening to himself talk. His new imitation of MLK's inflections did not help him. The only thing that stood out in his remarks was that he is an imperfect man who will make an imperfect president. Amen

A very close look at the exit polls.

The exit polls continue to be extremely ominous for Obama. The election in the south and border states has become an almost complete black/white split. While it currently helps Obama it will be disastrous for the Democrats in the general election. Current national polls also show this trend spreading to other areas, i.e., Pennsylvannia and New Jersey. This is an election trend that needs to be discussed intelligently otherwise democrats may not be celebrating in November.

Original article: Obama takes Wyoming

Thinking Small

If you think about it, Wyoming is small like so many of the other states that Obama has won. He can't win the big ones and don't mention Georgia because that will not be a blue state for several generations just like Wyoming and Utah and Idaho and So. Carolina and Mississippi and Nebraska and Alabama. How I miss the good old days when we had Democrats only, winner take all elections. We would have said good night to Senator Obama some time ago. Look closely at all the exit polls, the Republicans know what they are doing. They want Obama as their opposition in the fall.

Good Answer

Sue,

Good answer.

Thanks,

The New Is Actually Old

Sue,

Nice spin but that is not the point. Obama speaks from both sides of his mouth. He is taking his pods for a ride. He is no different from anyone else and maybe worse, since he is so new at it but he appears adamant to catch up. Drop him Sue his not worth it.

Bush Cheney Redux

This is even worse than his NAFTA episode. How is he going to get out of this one. I think any further debates are now out of the question. Actually, this is better policy than his hope and change platitudes but if that is really him than he might just as well drop out and leave the field to Clinton.
