Yeah it really isn't plagerism
[Read the article: Cindy McCain, cookie thief?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]but it would be nice to hear someoen own up that they don't like to cook or that when they do they use recipes from books or online. Who hasn't? Almost all recipes are borrowed or passed down from somewhere.
I know this is all about weird throw back notions of domesticty- but I can't resist being curious- what was Bill Clinton's cookie?

Cheers TRenee!

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I know I shouldn't let it get to me but boy does that 'you're not a real feminist' get my back up! Thanks for the support- you're awesome- always a pleasure to see you your well reasoned arguments in the threads :)

[Read the article: Michelle Obama on "The View"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]where is your info from? I was curious so just did a cursory check - I'm sure there would be some note of the controversy on wikipedia if there was a controversy...
Sounds like a solidly working class background to me-

[Read the article: Volunteers blocked Muslims from being seen with Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]My issue with the discussion about the sexism in the MSM was more that while it was certainly present and deplorable it was not Hillary's undoing and it was wrong to assert that any complaint or criticism of HRC was sexist. It is sill, of course a problem and source of continual frustration.
I also found the identity politicking around here, particularly in Joan Walsh’s columns having people duke it out about who is more aggrieved to be worse than useless- it is damaging to our shared cause. As TRenee points out that is a good way to divide and conquer.
We need to talk about these things but in ways that empower rather than perpetuating victim-hood. I’m going to always start from the perspective of universal human rights and equality- if they are infringed upon or denied in some way that is the problem. No one can grant rights, only recognize the wrongs and correct them and go from there

[Read more letters about this article: Here]You crack me up- I remember getting into it before because I said, essentially, you'd get your point across better without the name calling and then you called me a fascist.
No one is telling anyone how to vote- sure were trying to persuade each other but that's allowed, right?
TRenee was defending me against inaccurate accusations- that’s still ok, right?
I thought we made up? We don’t have to agree but let’s play nice :)

hey rufus
[Read the article: Volunteers blocked Muslims from being seen with Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]We're cool :)
I disagree on your theory of growth but hey that's cool too, and hey maybe your're right.
I think you're a bit crazy but I know I'm a little crazy too. If one is not a little crazy in this world there is something else seriously wrong :)
Btw- I wouldn't be offended about being called a Hillary supporter- I'd correct you but that is not offensive. Facist is offensive- I'm as liberal/libertarian as you on the scale remember? Anyhow- no worries, we're cool :)

[Read the article: A "September 10th mindset"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think you are correct that Obama should turn this around as the GOP was asleep at the wheel. I found it remarkable that we didn't do that in 2004 - it seemed like the most obvious strategy. You know if the tables we’re turned the repubs would have used that – even if it hadn’t been true as it was in this case!!!
I think Obama has walked straight up to that line without going over. They must fear some blowback if he does. Maybe Rudy Giuliani’s audacity will help BO hit them back harder. (And do the repubs really want Giuliani campaigning for them after he bungled his mind-blowing-ly bad primary campaign? I guess he does have the upside that most people didn’t notice it since he was only in Florida.)

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I wasn't asking for more elaboration on your conspiracy theory (though I'm not even sure that is a correct term - why would she conspire to that background which wouldn't be anything to be ashamed of.) I'm asking for some sources. Do you have any links?
I mean, I'm curious. It seems like a strange way to smear someone and a stranger thing to hide.
Proof? Sources? Links?

[Read the article: A "September 10th mindset"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think with Rove it is more about attacking your enemy with your own perceived weakness. For instance I thought it was very Rovian for Hillary to go after Obama on experience since she had so little. It would be Rovian for McCain to try and make Obama look weak on the economy, though I doubt that would work too well. But even Bushco's goin after dems as being weak on terrorists is classic Rove - after all, they have been a collasal failure. (I mean that literally they’ve gone after dems so hard to hide their own failures.)
I think it would be not Rovian, but straight up old fashioned red-meat politics to dump the responsibility back in their laps where it belongs. (It would also be fitting, just, refreshing, etc.)
