My you Obamapaths are nasty little brownshirts aren'tcha?
RC: This is beautiful enough to bear repeating (Should we ban RC too, whiny annoying Obamapaths?):
Here we go again, another 'broad sunlit uplands' push by Salon to make us feel good about voting for Obama's sunny smile (that trust-me smile is so Reaganesque) and wave a 'thanks, but no thanks' to the 'ancient' Clintons. Salon writers have been so ridiculous in supporting Obama's 'game-changing' presidency, essentially depicting him as though he--and we--were a political tabula rasa. But how, if it WERE true, would that be a good thing? Where's the backbone? Why NOT argue for policy positions that make us right today, and made us right then? This disconnect with the past makes renders any attempt for real future change useless. (To put even less elegantly: what can we change when we're disconnected from the past?)
Who cares what you think about the Democratic primary? Please, vote Republican in the fall. Come out of the closet already and embrace your inner Republican. You'll feel a lot better about yourself. You are what you are. A Republican. Be true to yourself!
You'll be calling us "McCain Democrats" after November and the entire Democratic party, humiliated, will have to figure out a way to win us back (like Bill Clinton won us in 92).
Geraldine Ferraro is now indicating she will vote for McCain in November. Lieberman already endorsed him.
Two respected, modern Democratic Vice Presidential candidates LEFT behind by the racist race card playing lefty left nuts destroying the party. Astonishing.
Ferraro and Lieberman are good, progressive Democrats driven to the GOP by Obama, the "unifier" and sure loser handpicked by the love to lose lefty loser left.
defeating the Republicans and installing a reasonably progressive government in this ailing country, without regard to race, sex, religion, gender or the rest of it
"The rest of it" being competence, experience, ethics.
And we're supposed to be knocked out by the brilliance and learnedness of Barack Dukakis.
Was Obama's great uncle a "typical white person" with racist views like his sister, Obama's white grandmother?
Hmmmmm, which is worse....
A. Sitting in a pew with your children and your vulgar wife for 20 years while a racist pastor screams GOD DAMN AMERICA and humps the pulpit for your children to see, and letting an America-hating pulpit humper Baptize your children because you agree with what he says or
B. McCain.
I'm voting B.
Obama told his audience that, because some folks had the courage to "march across a bridge" in Selma, Alabama, his mother, a white woman from Kansas, and his father, a black Muslim from Africa, took heart. It gave them the courage to get married and have a child. The problem with that characterization is that Barack Obama, Jr. was born on August 4, 1961, while the first of three marches across that bridge in Selma didn't occur until March 7, 1965, at least five years after Obama's parents met
New Gallup numbers. Barack Dukakis is doomed.

PRINCETON, NJ -- In the 20 states where Hillary Clinton has claimed victory in the 2008 Democratic primary and caucus elections (winning the popular vote), she has led John McCain in Gallup Poll Daily trial heats for the general election over the past two weeks of Gallup Poll Daily tracking by 50% to 43%. In those same states, Barack Obama is about tied with McCain among national registered voters, 45% to 46%.
In contrast, in the 28 states and the District of Columbia where Obama has won a higher share of the popular vote against Clinton in the 2008 Democratic primaries and caucuses, there is essentially no difference in how Obama and Clinton each fare against McCain. Both Democrats are statistically tied with him for the fall election.
Barack Dukakis will be defeated when Democratic voters decide the fate of a candidate who stole a primary by eliminating participation of millions of voters in two big swing states.
"Change we can believe in." More like "More of the same George W. Bush corruption and scumbaggery, only worse."
He said the Obama team challenged every single one of his petitions on "technicalities."
If names were printed instead of signed in cursive writing, they were declared invalid. If signatures were good but the person gathering the signatures wasn't properly registered, those petitions also were thrown out.
Askia came up 69 signatures short of the required number to be on the ballot.
Kass, the Chicago Tribune columnist, said the national media are naive when it comes to Chicago politics, which is a serious business.
He said they have bought into a narrative that Obama is strictly a reformer. The truth, Kass says, is that he is a bare-knuckled politician. And using the rules to win his first office is part of who Obama is.
"It's not the tactics of 'let's all people come together and put your best ideas forward and the best ideas win,' " Kass said. "That's the spin; that's in the Kool-Aid. You can have some. Any flavor. But the real deal was, get rid of Alice Palmer.
"There are those who think that registering people to vote and getting them involved in politics and then using this tactic in terms of denying Alice Palmer the right to compete, that these things are inconsistent. And guess what? They are. They are inconsistent. But that's the politics he plays."

It will be great fun
Not ANOTHER racist pastor problem for Barack Dukakis.
Clinton has attacked MoveOn for its organizing capacity, for its ability to turn out volunteers and voters to caucuses.
Lie. She attacked MoveOn for its leftist bent that loses elections for Democrats and will cause Barack Dukakis to lose in November.
That's what I said. She didn't "attack MoveOn for its organizing capacity, for its ability to turn out volunteers and voters to caucuses." She lamented that MoveOn represents and turns out the lefty left at undemocratic caucuses which leads to nominating loser lefty left losers.
