Go Hillary

The good news is Barack Dukakis isn't an unrightable wrong. It will be righted in November.

To dream the impossible dream,

to fight the unbeatable foe,

to bear with unbearable sorrow,

to run where the brave dare not go.

To right the unrightable wrong,

to love pure and chaste from afar,

to try when your arms are too weary,

to reach the unreachable star.

This is my quest,

to follow that star --

no matter how hopeless,

no matter how far.

To fight for the right

without question or pause,

to be willing to march into hell for a

heavenly cause.

And I know if I'll only be true to this

glorious quest

that my heart will be peaceful and calm

when I'm laid to my rest.

And the world will be better for this,

that one man scorned and covered with scars

still strove with his last ounce of courage.

To reach the unreachable stars.

Hey manos

"We are the ones we've been waiting for."

LMAO

Let me explain

Saying you're pissed off at Obama for messing up Clinton's shot at the candidacy is one thing. Saying you'll blow off the entire Democratic party, the entire liberal viewpoint, the entire leftist cause, the entire anti-war effort, the entire progressive movements, etc.....that's insane.

It's not difficult. Barack Dukakis doesn't represent the Democratic party.

I will enjoy his defeat and I will enjoy participating in it as I cast my vote for McCain, which I view as a vote for preventing the Democratic party's hijack by a gullible and needy cult of personality centered around, yes, your "Hip Black Friend."

Get it?

Barack Dukakis

Why do you call Obama "Barack Dukakis"?

And, doesn't it anger you when people call Hillary various names (e.g., Billary)? Seriously, what's the point of the name-calling?

What, you consider "Barack Dukakis" an insult? (I doubt you would have commented if someone called him "another Kennedy," for example.)

That would suggest you might believe Dukakis-like and Obama-like candidacies that appeal only to flaky lefty academics and college students instead of the Democratic base spell WEAKNESS and GENERAL ELECTION LOSER.

Positions

How can you say that, when his positions are very similar to Hillary Clinton's?

No, his positions are:

Change we can believe in

We are the ones we've been waiting for

Hope and change

Other than that, he has no positions on anything. Except that he could no more disown Rev. Wright than he could disown the black community or his white grandmother.

See, Obama's "positions" are not worth the erasable ink they're printed in (which he's used ever since he got caught lying about his handwriting on the gun survey)

VP won't matter

Let me disabuse Obamapaths of their idea that a Clinton selection as VP will impact the decision of most Clinton supporters who will vote for McCain.

It won't. We don't think Barack Hussein Dukakis is fit to serve as the leader of our country or our party. We see two candidates in this race who are qualified for the job. One is highly qualified (Clinton), one is just barely qualified (McCain).

The third candidate, Barack Dukakis, is a bumbling empty suit and dangerously unqualified as either a Democrat or a US President.

The VP nominee will have no impact on that perspective.

Letter writers must be hired trolls. Voters too

Before you investigate Salon.com letter posters, maybe you should investigate for voter fraud in Ohio and Pennsylvania (and soon to be West Virginia) because, the logic here goes: real Clinton supporters can't possibly exist.

Therefore there's no possible way Clinton was outspent 3:1 and still defeated Barack Dukakis in those important swing states.

Now for reality. Obama did lose because he's a loser candidate. You're just going to have to face that fact sooner or later.

Once more: VP doesn't matter

HRC is radioactive. Sorry to be the harbinger of sorrow, as James Hettfield would say, but everyone knows that an Obama/Clinton ticket is a fantasy that keeps Karl Rove furiously and vigorously engorging himself several times a night.

Are you lending him a hand? How civil of you.

I just told you, Clinton as VP won't make a bit of difference to those of us who will be voting for McCain. The problem with the Barack Dukakis ticket is the top of the ticket.

We don't believe Barack Obama is fit to lead our country or party.

Can you folks read? Never mind.

For manos

The one we've been waiting for is Barack Dukakis

Too bad Clintonites for McCain will cock block us.

Our own interests

You people don't get it. Abortion isn't the top issue for most Clinton supporters or even most Democrats, hard as it is for 60's relic latte sippers and cult worshipping college children to understand.

We don't think there is any evidence to support that Barack Dukakis would select adequate supreme court justices and even if we did, that issue issue doesn't justify installing what we know would be a certain economic and foreign policy disaster into the presidency. BD represents the destruction of the Democratic party, which is against "our interests."

We don't think Barack Dukakis has the character or competence to qualify him for the presidency of our country. We think Clinton is highly qualified and McCain is barely qualified.

Monday, May 12, 2008 11:46 AM

In short

Barack Dukakis "new kind of politics" = weakness and acquiescence to Republicans.

We don't want it, and it's worth destroying this empty suit's political career now and looking forward to getting the party back on track in 2012. We are enthusiastic about both prospects.

Kennedy and nobility

Do we need lectures on nobility from a drunk old man, formerly a drunk frat boy who couldn't even aspire to enough nobility to call the cops after he drove a pregnant girl off a bridge?

Monday, May 12, 2008 09:02 PM

Madam

Frankly Madam, you're right. I just don't want to hear him bloviating about nobility, especially other people's lack of it. And his endorsements are meaningless.
