Sean Handondick

My stock portfolio dropped 3% yesterday. I saw a clip of Sean Hannity saying that it was Obama's fault. Today it went up 3%. I'll bet that 3% that Sean-o didn't give him credit. Of course the fact that he blamed Obama for the 40% loss of people's 401'ks, most of which happened in Oct. - December, when Bush was still president, shows what a pinhead/lier (take your choice) he is.

...on another topic.

I was listening to Ann Coulter (I needed to vomit and couldnt find the Ipecac) critisize President Obama for sending more troops to Afghanistan. Doesn't that, by her own definition, make her a traitor?

How about this?

How about honoring those young men and women who have voluntered to put themselves in harms way to defend our country by not sending them on your own personal daddy vengance mission based on a pack of lies and cherry-picked intelligence? How about honoring them by saving their sacrifices for those instances where our nation is actually attacked or threatened? Or by giving them the honor of not hiding in shame the remains of those who made the ultimate sacrifice? Or by fulfilling your own military service instead of hiding behind your "other priorities"? By not being a complete hippocrite? Why not that?

Punative

Brightstar2. Learn to understand English.

Regardless of whether she deserves it or not, does not modify the meaning of the word punative. In one case he simply wants to prevent the use of his sperm. In the other he wants to punish her for it. There is no value judgement in the word I just think she should consider the motive.

Now do I think anything justifies doing irreparable harm to someone else's genitals? No, I'd rather just walk away if it came to that. Does that make me a wimpy liberal? If so, guilty as charged, and I'm happy you don't want to join the club.

Sorry

...about the giberish at the end of my letter. It was a combination of thumb typing and an out of control auto-corrector. I typed it on a phone and it wouldn't let me edit it.

So I meant: he may also be dealing with the OCD which makes it a contamination obsession, not mistrust of you.

The rest, I think you can figure out what I meant.

I think the guy's honesty and bravery show way more trust of you than can be subtracted by the condom thing.

Another view

Dear LW,

I ( a guy) have an entirely different view: I agree with Carey on much of this; particularly the necessity of OCD treatment, but basically I think this guy is a keeper.

It's true that his condom-washing behavior is potentially hurtful ( although no one specified if he washed or Tabasco'ed. One is just mistrustful, the other punative). But the main thing that I take from this us that when you asked him about it, HE TOLD YOU THE TRUTH! 99% of offending guys, when you asked them if they're 'processed' their condoms, would lie. They would instantly recognize the trouble they'ed be in for an affirmative answer. The fact that he told you the truth means that he won't lie to you even when the truth is unpleasant. This is worth more than gold in a life partner. He is truthful and he is brave.

As far as the facts of the matter go: consider this: he may have been misled by some talk show asshole. But falling in love is a process. At first you don't know the person all that well. You might be inclined to belive some BS from some blowhard. But falling in love is also falling into trust. As be came to trust you, I'll bet he realized the silliness of his ways. That, is unless there us that OCD component - in which case it has to sobeith irrational fear if contamination, not mistrust if you.

Ok

In my view he clearly trusts you. He trusted you MRI handle the truth. This is not an easy thing. He must really love and trust you to take that risk.

Non-apology

I hate this kind of "apology". It's like when the airline apologizes "if you have been inconvenienced" when they have stranded you in some far-away airport overnight. There is no acknowledgement that they screwed up, only if you somehow find this inconvenient.

Murdoch is 'apologizing' not for running an offensive cartoon, but rather for your being offended. You, know, if you were unreasonable enough to find that cartoon offensive, then he is sorry you are so sensitive.

Bull

I think that Annie Savoy had the perfect solution: Should it happen that you call out one of your crushes name, simply ask your boyfriend if he'd rather have you sleeping with him and calling someone else's name, or the other way around? ;-)

The solution is simple

Tell your husband to hang his own damned clothes is he wants them air-dried. If this is really about the cause, he'll do it.

Bluh

I think we should suck their brains out with straws, sell the widows and go into South American zinc.

I understand now, the meaning of 'bipartisanship'

As practiced by the republicans, bipartisanship apparently means "do things our way".

When they were in office, they called the democrats obstructionists and worse, and now that they are not, they call for bipartisanship, but then when the chance comes for them to practice it, they unanimously decline.

wtf?

Why would Obama have baklava and weinerschnitzel with the terrorists? Those are Greek and German foods. Gasp! Maybe he'll eat lutefisk with them too!

what the heck

I'd be happy to spank her without expectation of intercourse. As long as i got to see her naked ;-). Just be honest about what you want, and you can find it.

way to go!

That'll teach me to read the second page of an article before I fly off and write a letter! Good job Gary. You had me going.

Satire at its finest.
