I Am Very Suspicious

I am very suspicious of all these conservatives endorsing Obama.

Bush, Cheney Inc. ruined the economy of the United States of America. I think the GOP wants a Democrat in the White House and wants a Democratic majority in both houses so they can start a shrill, continuous, 4 year long media campaign to blame all the economic problems we are going to face on the Democrats.

Then, in 2012, they go for the White House, because that 4 year period will be when another Supreme Court justice will need to be nominated.

I can hear it now: "Gee, whe thought the Democrats might have changed and we even supported their candidate of change in 2008, but boy were we wrong! (Harrangue, harrangue, harrangue, etc) ".

Original article: The rap on Palin

Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin was stiff because he was parodying himself in that sketch. His stiffness was deliberate. He was playing Arch-Alec Baldwin, the "liberal East Coast elite Alec Baldwin, aka Alexay Baldvinoff" that rightwingers devoutly believe in, sure as they believe in Satan himself. And he was also deliberately not looking Sarah Palin in the eye.

Sorry you guys didn't get it..

Original article: The rap on Palin

Don't Forget That Sarah Palin.....

...used to be on local TV news. She was a sportscaster. Her degree, when she finally settled on a school to attend, was in journalism. And she wasn't interested in working for the NY Times - she wanted to be on TV. She studied television journalism. ("To Die For," anyone?)

She knows how to read a teleprompter and how to be relaxed in front of a camera. I don't know why people were expecting her to be some kind of teleprompter naif. She knows exactly what to say and how to behave when she's got a script. It's when she hasn't got a teleprompter to rely on that she's utterly stumped. A lot of media people are like that.

Ever tried to have a conversation with one of those cable TV newsreaders? Male or female. I have. These people are not very intelligent. I hate to break it to you, but even Katie Couric is no genius. She used to live in my neighborhood, along with a lot of other celebs. TV newsreaders are celebrities, and celebrities aren't the brightest people. They can portray bright people on TV and in movies, though. But very few of them are actually smart.

(Paul Newman is genuinely mourned for a reason.)

How Very Mavericky of Noonan, No?

Noonan saw Palin was a disaster immediately. The Pegeen's mic was left open on an MSNBC show and her true feelings about McCain's pick of Palin were made evident early on. She declared the choice of Palin "political bullshit."

But what was she saying in front of the mic? That Palin was "powerful," that she "reignited the culture," that she "could become a transformative political presence". (Yuh, and pigs might become transformative animals and learn to fly.) Noonan charged that "they" (the non-mosseburger-eating, non-helicopter hunter, non-drill-crazy Left? The Democrats? The "elite" media?) were going to have to "kill Sarah Palin and kill her quick."

OOPS! One of the most lethal shots at Palin came from the other side of The Pegeen's mouth!

Noonan ladels bullshit for a living. That's why she's able to call political bullshit when she smells it. Since she's always flinging it around, why wouldn't she recognize it?

After the open mic accidentally disclosed her real feelings, The Pegeen furiously backpedaled for her GOP masters (and mistresses, like Kay Bailey Hutchison). After saying -- several times -- on the air that the McCain campaign was over , she claimed she did not say it and did not think it. Noooo.. she was misunderstood.

This same woman went on The Daily Show and straight-facedly made the claim that "professional political operatives" out there were sowing the seeds of divisive culture war. Hmmm... I wonder who some of those professional political operatives might be? The ones who lie to the public on camera and in their syndicated columns, then claim some "elite media" out there is trying to destroy American values? What are American values, Pegeen? Lying? Cheating? Taking money for slandering people? Stereotyping in hateful terms those who disagree with Peggy Noonan, like when she said Obama's acceptance speech "has every possibility of looking like a Nuremberg rally"?

Now Noonan is officially jumping on the media punditry bandwagon and openly declaring Palin a vulgar mediocrity. How mavericky of her. Thinking Americans saw Palin for what she was on Day One. We weren't getting paid to craft an opinion for the benefit of a political party, so we just came right out and said what we thought. No euphemisms, no apologies. "Holy shit" is what we said. "Holy. fucking. shit."

Can we please get some newer, younger, hungrier irrelevant political pundits? People like Noonan and Monica Crowley and the truly black-hearted George Will are long past their expiration dates.

Not To Worry

I remember when a certain Peggy Noonan claimed that her words condemning McCain's pick of Sarah Palin as VP had been taken out of context and misunderstood.

A couple of months later, Peggy Noonan confirmed what she said was really true.

So don't be surprised when, in a couple of months, Bachmann admits that she really meant Obama is anti-American.

Please, It Scares Me

I'm not kidding, it really scares me to see photos of Cindy McCain's angry little face. She is so mad! I think she is mad at me. I think... I think she wants to bite me. I am afraid she wants to nip at me with her little pearly white teeth.

Rrrrrrr-rowff! Ruff ruff!

Cindy seems like a very angry little peke.

Grrrrrr....fund my son!.. Rrrrrr....howdareyou? Grr...roww roww roww.
