Not by any stretch. Biden got more votes in primaries after he dropped out than live in Wasilla in total. His total in Florida was just over 15,000. Wasilla last population estimate was under 9,000.

This is not exactly a lie, but almost certainly either an lame exaggeration or cheap hyperbole.

No amount of sophistry, rationalizing, or fum fumming can change the fact that Sarah Palin got up there, and in front of millions of people, stared directly into the camera, and LIED.

Many politicians say things that are not true. Fine, whatever. Usually they say these things knowing that they got some form of cheap semantics they can pull right out of their asses if anyone ever calls them on it. Some tricky way of looking at numbers, some quote taken out of context, etc., just enough to cover their asses and show how what they just said cannot be seen as a total lie. Like what Huckabee said about Biden not getting as many votes for President as Palin got for Mayor. Not even close to true, and anyone who looks will see that. But heck, he was exaggerating, using hyperbole. Not lying. Or at least he can claim.

But very few politicians would ever dare something that is so fundamentally a lie like Pailn just did. Twice.

She raised taxes in Alaska, she didn't lower them. She lied.

She was NEVER AGAINST THE BRIDGE TO NOWHERE. SHE SUPPORTED IT. Again, and there is no spin that could save her here, SHE LIED.

Don't even get me started about how much she lied about Obama.

She is now officially a piece of shit. The gall of this woman to say whatever she wants and thinking nobody is going to care enough that she is lying.

I'm so glad Obama is showing he's coming back out at them again. I understand that its a kind of political logic to think that you have to lie low during your opponent's convention, but McCain kinda already broke that rule when he picked Gov. lying scumbag as his runningmate to step on the Dem bounce.

I am so looking forward to watching Biden and Obama get into tearing these two phony reformers to shreds, now that their financial restrictions of not being the official nominee is lifted. Now we outspend the GOP 5-1 from tomorrow straight through to November.

She legally has all the required experience, and the experience angle is a waste of time. I've never been big about it myself, either against Obama, or now Palin.

I expect the MSM to look the other way on this stuff. After all, its makes them money to keep this election artifically close by slanting their reporting. But the fact that Salon won't talk about this at all is really kind of annoying.
