DrFresh, your answer is cute
[Read the article: I'm secretly addicted to porn]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Given that you can't read.
I understand that you clearly have some chip on your shoulder about your use of pornography but, seriously, when it's hindering your ability to reason, you should maybe take a cold shower.
You say the LW should take a few months off or go to therapy - er, he already said that he couldn't stop. You know, in his letter. So in your view he should go to therapy? Why, he's perfectly normal and he shouldn't let anyone make him fell guilty, right. I assume you think it's normal to 'dread sex' because it's not with porn stars? Right...
btw - What you call depression manifesting in excess, Cary calls addiction. Nowhere does Cary make a moral judgment about the actual vice. You just won't admit it because I think you have some sort of investment in the idea that no one can be addicted to pornography. Good luck with that.

This article is not funny
[Read the article: How gay it would be]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It's not.
It's not offensive, it's not profound, it's not interesting.
I'm sorry, it's not not terribly well written and it's not funny. At all. I didn't laugh once.
If all the gay people posting here think their sense of humor wasn't beaten out of them, they're wrong. I think the jocks stuffed their heads down the toilet one too many times. (see that was funnier). The article is just not very funny. I've read funnier articles on this issue, I've seen funnier TV shows. I thought Will & Grace was hilarious. I wanted the Queer Eye guys to come to my house. I wet myself watching the Chappelle Show. This isn't a PC issue, this is awful writing at its most boring.
I was bored. It's not very good writing. For God's sake, how can people defend this. It's soooo telling that only gay people and mothers liked this. The irony is that they think that they 'get it' and the rest of us are stupid. What they don't realize is that their own experiences are coloring their reaction to this dull uninspiring piece.
It's crap!!!

Wow, denial and self delusion reign
[Read the article: What's so wrong with a pregnancy pact?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'm actually shocked. I don't know why but I am.
It's like the Christian right came in here and wrote joke responses of stupid liberals but it's real. Every statistic shows that teenage, single mothers put themselves and their children in a difficult position. Everything shows that they are more likely to end up in prison, dependent on state handouts or undereducated.
I'm stunned. Some people are so stupid that they would rather applaud any action than admit that a human being can make a bad decision.
Ianna - you are what's wrong with the world. Not that you're a single mother, that you're stupid. You presumably struggled with your child (and I bet it hasn't even started yet, come back to me when they've graduated college) and yet you don't even see any benefit in waiting to get pregnant until you finish high school. Don't you think maybe the children would like two parents?
You are so blind with fear and self loathing that anything that makes teenage mothers look good, you'll believe. I bet you are a sucker for a smooth looking guy who tells you he loves you. You are exactly the role model that the next generation needs - a broken down fool with no sense. Unfortunately your kind is more likely to reproduce than people who, you know, understand consequences. Go away and have more state babies while the rest of us work to pay for your mistakes.
Is it difficult being a complete failure with no sense?

Just stunned this is an article
[Read the article: My hip-to-waist ratio is nobody's business but mine]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The OP is asking why like this is some deep psychological problem that needs analysis. Just tell them to but out.
Writing to an advice columnist to complain that fatties are rude to you is a bit of an overreaction to me.
There are rude petty passive aggressive people at every stage of your life. Child rearing, anyone? Are you telling me that the op doesn't KNOW why people are being like this.
Just seems like a Miss Manners, or even, I dare say, something you bitch to your girlfriends about. I guess with email, we can all feign cluelessness to get faux sympathy from strangers on unimportant side issues that we should be mature enough to dismiss/resolve on our own.
