WHY SHOULD HER INSURANCE BE BILLED??
[Read the article: Fresh blood for the vampire]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Chief Fannon's quote, and the article itself, were very clear: it was only the insurance companies that got the bill. Not a single rape victim has ever been asked by the Wassilla police to pay a penny for a rape kit.
Is a murder victim's insurance ever billed? Why on earth should even a woman's insurance have to pay for the gathering of evidence?
It's Palin who has no shame. She's stated clearly that she doesn't support a woman's right to choose NOT to have a rapist's baby.
Oh by the way. F*** YOU

I'd Like To See
[Read the article: Troopergate: Palin was warned to stop "disparaging" sister's ex]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Sarah Palin running over the frozen Tundra while wolves and Mooses shoot at her from airplanes.
She's attractive window dressing for a toxic waste dump of a personality. Put a geiger counter near her and it would go insane.

Uhhh....I'm underwhelmed
[Read the article: Biden: Clinton might have been the better running mate]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You got me worried ... for this?? I read this comment more as Biden being generous to Hillary than saying anything embarrassing about himself or Obama that will become a long-term problem for himself or Obama. If he'd been caught in a lie, said something wildly inappropriate or which showed ignorance of something he should know, THAT would have been bad.
But as a "Macaca Moment" this falls seriously flat. Hillary would have brought different strengths to the ticket. But I also think she would have been a potential boon to the Republicans. They'd LOVE to manufacture new awful stuff about Hillary as well as revisit the 90's. If we think Palin's being used as a distraction, the savaging Hillary would have taken would have been far worse.

For a Pit bull
[Read the article: Poor Sarah Palin]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]She sure is whiny. One would think she would have a little more emotional resilience, for a person who apparently prides herself on being tough. If Obama had acted half so upset about all the nasty things said about him during the Republican convention, he'd still be having a crying jag.
This is bigtime politics, Sarah. You want to be in the national politics, surprise! people actually will say TOUGH things. Every woman currently holding elected office in America had to go through it and make the case for herself. If we expect you to do the same thing and answer substantive questions about current issues, it does not mean we're being sexist. We're just expecting you to behave like an adult. As Harry Truman said If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. And actually despite the media honeymoon you're getting, not everything in this election IS actually about YOU.
Despite Republican efforts to frame this as being "about personalities" this campaign actually IS about issues. Serious issues we can't afford to wait to address. Issues that neither you or John McCain appear to have the least idea how to solve. Not only would you be bad for America, you'd be bad for the WORLD which is already in bad shape.
You know what? Even if it WERE "about personalities" I'd STILL vote for Obama/Biden. Grandpa and the nasty guppy do nothing for me.

You're Terrified...
[Read the article: Zombie feminists of the RNC]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Because Palin would be a disaster. She may BE a woman, but she'd be bad for us in office as she'd work to undermine our rights, both reproductive, and otherwise. It's a cynical, divisive move by the Republicans to distract us from their abysmal record as holders of power in Washington. (I have to hand it to the bastards, it worked well, thus far.)
But she's no more a feminist than Sheriff Eugene Bull Conners was a Black Panther. The very insinuation that this gives republicans any feminist street cred is insulting.

@AJ Calhoun
[Read the article: An America-first election -- and Obama benefits]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]As Klytus says, Well said.
We HAVE to win, this year. The alternative is thoroughly unbearable. I just have this feeling it's our last chance to pull back and get some sanity back. I cannot bear the thought of waking up to President Elect McCain, after all the S*** the Republicans have pulled for the last 8 years, and the total, total mess they've made of things. The only good thing is about that, it gives the Dems lots of ammo against McCain/Palin if they'll only USE it!
In 2000, although I disagreed with him about everything, I kinda liked McCain. If we had to have a Republican president, I thought I would greatly have preferred it to be him than Bush.
That phase is SO over. That cynical bastard! It's revolting to have Republicans wagging fingers and pretending they suddenly care so much about feminism and women. (Although it's sexism turned on it's head to assume Palin NEEDS so much protection.) And a self-described pitbull who squeals like a puppy whenever she's asked something that demands a non-scripted answer.
To see an election in which we are facing vital issues that cannot wait to be dealt with dragged down into trivial concerns and phony outrage is disgusting and disheartening.
Right now, if I had Karl Rove in front of me, I could happily shoot him.

I Used to Think...
[Read the article: Ethics advisor warned Palin on Troopergate]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That I couldn't hate any vice-president more than I did Darth Dick Cheney.
I was wrong. Sarah Palin really takes the mooseburger.
On the bright side, I hope the stupidity of trying to cover this up and deny subpoenas deepening this ethics hole she's in will give some of her supporters pause.
I also pray that after the "All Sarah All the Time" coverage we've been seeing since August 29th, people are starting to get sick her.
I know I am.
