What a sane amazingly intelligent voice in the wilderness! Your writing always amazes me with it's incisive ability to cut to chase and say what's at the bottom of it all. God, do you write somewhere else? Get a freaking blog or a column. I'd be an undying fan. You're a wind of fresh air and blessed relief compared to what's out there or here anywhere recent. I'm always thankful when you come along and put your two gold cents in.
And it's horrifying to realize in this day and age that we have not reached a nuanced enough ability to recognize bigotry in all it's forms and weigh them on the same scale.
But this election and the conversation about it has been hijacked by the lunatic fringe including the MSM which gladly feeds them has de-evolved into Fox News wannabe's because it buys them big ratings and advertisers. And buys site ratings because of the page hits.
Truth has no place anymore, anywhere, especially in the MSM and in places like this and people's ethics have flown out the window to be replaced by the nightmare of some online variation of a french revolution insane bloody purge masquerading as some new tomorrow. It's frightening.
I take no pleasure at the thought that when Clinton drops out, the Republicans will severely scour Obama, not with "white racism" (they don't even need to go anywhere near to that extreme) but simply with his sheer naivete in foreign policy and his inability to stick to a position (is Iran dangerous...or not) from one day to the other. Charm and pretty speeches will no longer save the day.
This election is so divided at this point because of the tactics that have been used by Obama and his supporters that Karl Rove is laughing hysterically because they're so freaking blinded by their own hate they don't see they've lost half of their constituency. Obama and his supporters have played into his hands as easy as putting on a glove. But do they see that? No. They're so addicted and lost in the game of their hate that they can't see the train wreck coming.
Wow, hears voices saying things not said in reality. I think that's called schizophrenia.
Wow, dumb and insane.
Repeats idiotic assertions at will because that's what he's been told is really what was said. Doesn't bother to think for himself. Too hard.
Wow, dumb and brainwashed.
I think that's called "Obamatized".
Or maybe it's just bigotry.
Now THERE'S a republican troll.
There's the REAL ENEMY, you stupid fools! You are so busy bashing Clinton and half the Democratic constituency you've lost your mind and your sight as to who that is!!
There! Right fucking there!
But no, go ahead with your Clinton hate and demolishing the Democratic party while your at it and shits like this will rule this country.
"Seriously, I'm listening."
No, you're not. Your's is posed as a rhetorical question and you know it. At least have the decency to be honest and admit it.
You're like loinyc, who pretends she to go "...on lots of blogs lately trying to reach out to Hillary Clinton supporters and have a rational debate, but I rarely get rational responses," when she has no intention or inclination for such of being convinced in any other way then her way and only wishes to "bait" the conversation to prove herself right.
I'm sure she's gotten plenty of "rational" responses. Just not the "rational" response she wants that fits in her opinion.
So, enough of your hypocrisy about wanting to listen. You know damn well what 90% of blacks voting for Obama implies and what that means.
Clinton's "insult" of black people (Johnson/MLK) was a lie dog whistled by Obama's henchmen (Jesse Jackson, Jr) to black people to rally round.
Bill Clinton stated a fact but because he was white and the husband of the rival, but because he was white, he was excoriated for saying that truth. That's not racist?
Furthermore, Obama dog whistled to blacks by stating that they were being "bamboozled" by the white man again in numerous speeches to blacks in the south (look it up!). That's not racist? And that's not race baiting? And nobody said a damn word. If that had been Clinton, her campaign would have ended right then and there. But, no, Obama, because he is black and "you can't pick on me because that would be racist", gets a pass free and clear.
And even now, once again, Obama has dog whistled to his supporters to make up grandiose paranoid shit about Clinton's RFK remark, and they have happily supplied the lie.
The hypocrisy runs deep and furthermore is damaging to healing racism as a whole. Pretending it doesn't exist on both sides, insisting that is where it isn't, utilizing it as political ploy by ANY party, guarantees that it will be around to haunt us for generations.
