Never before has a candidate been so pressured to step out of the race, especially because there is no precedent for it.

From mediamatters.com:
And the fact is, the media's get-out-now push is unparalleled. Strong second-place candidates such as Ronald Reagan (1976), Ted Kennedy, Gary Hart, Jesse Jackson, and Jerry Brown, all of whom campaigned through the entire primary season, and most of whom took their fights all the way to their party's nominating conventions, were never tagged by the press and told to go home.
"Clinton is being held to a different standard than virtually any other candidate in history," wrote Steven Stark in the Boston Phoenix. "When Clinton is simply doing what everyone else has always done, she's constantly attacked as an obsessed and crazed egomaniac, bent on self-aggrandizement at the expense of her party."
....And what about Sen. Ted Kennedy's doomed run in 1980? He trailed President Jimmy Carter by more than 750 delegates at the end of the primary season and insisted on fighting all the way to the convention, where he tried to get committed Carter delegates to switch their allegiance. The press did not spend months during the primary season ridiculing Kennedy, in a deeply personal tone, for remaining in the race.
.....When Hart took his crusade all the way to the convention, the media did not form a posse and decide it was their job to get Hart to quit for the good of the party. (And the press certainly didn't form a posse in March to start pushing Hart out of the race.) Nor did the press collectively suggest that Hart had an oversized ego that had turned him into a political monster.
This is hypocrisy on the grandest scale. And because she is a woman and she is losing to a black man. And before people call me crazy for that consider if it were the other way around and Obama were losing and people were screaming at this point for him to drop out -- racism would be heard loud and clear as a charge, and they would be right!
Clinton has every right to go ahead as far as she wishes. All the way to the convention. That's what a convention is for! It's not just a fricking party, it's to make the final decisions based on the delegates at that point (not necessarily before!).
Stick a fork in her?
How exceptionally "healing" of you.
It's not simply that Obama runs a serious risk of losing Florida, etc. (the states that Clinton took in landslide proportions) in the general election AND THE GENERAL ELECTION itself(!!!) with anyone else in tow (look AT THE POLLS in those states!) but that the General election would be literally assured to Democrats with Clinton.
An Obama/Clinton ticket would be a juggernaut of unprecedented dimensions, knocking the Republicans so far out of the field as might bring in a renaissance of change like we've never seen before. The stupidity of not doing this could lose this country to another 4 to 8 years of Republican totalitarianism.
Let's get real here. With Clinton, it's a sure deal.
Yes, both of them will have to suck it up and work together. And just like them, both Obama and Clinton supporters will have to do the same? Is it too much to ask for a whole new tomorrow? For a REAL change in this country?
I think not!
This is pure bullshit! The woman makes a reference to RFK's assassination to make a point about previous NORMAL FUCKING PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGNS, about that precedence, about the FACT that RFK was STILL running for president in JUNE, IN JUNE!!! And Obama and his minions go crazy twisting it around into some sort of threat that doesn't even begin to resemble what she said or obviously meant (to anyone with an ounce of sanity...or DECENCY for that matter).
Boy, Obama MUST truly be afraid of losing the popular vote to sink this far down. Low DOWN!
Wow, she's already down, why not hit her again! With absolute CRAP to boot.
And of course, the Obama sycophants will all go the distance of running with this fantasy to any degree and any in direction. Just as long as it spews and feeds their Clinton hate.
You know, I was just getting to the point where I thought I could believe in Obama and vote for him but this ridiculous shit just lost me.
The election for the Democrats is lost.
Technically, so is this "lie" about Clinton.
But it's meat for the stupid Obama sharks, isn't it? My how the MSM has you all hooked. You'll snap at anything that will bring them page hits, especially if it allows you to spew your venomous hate-filled bullshit.
Talk about divisive. You can bet your last tank of gas, Obama will lose the election because of crap like this.
Your sick toxic hate will sink his campaign faster and any dreams and hopes of the Democrats or any real change in this country. You think this won't cost him? You think this won't cost us? But you forgot about "us" didn't you?
You all threw "us" the Democrats as whole under the bus a long time ago, just so you all could go tripping on your hate. So you all could get your rocks off calling us racists.
But you all don't care, do you? As long as you get to be nasty to Clinton and her supporters. The very people you WILL NEED eventually. You'd think we were THE ENEMY. But your blind stupid hatred won't let you see past itself. You're all sucked in by your addiction to it.
You're all fools and bigots of the worse kind, worse than any Republicans.
