@sigmund5

Sorry, but once again you assume too much because I happen to be a Clinton supporter. My husband who died not too long was black. Believe me, I know all about race/class and the problems thereof. I know all about the pain that went with the shit this country put blacks through. So don't even begin to patronize or lecture me. But that does NOT MEAN that I HAVE to hate Clinton or love Obama. Get over it.

Yeah, Clinton probably does only have a 5 percent chance but she deserves, no more or less than Obama, fair and equal treatment. Something not had here. That's absolute bullshit.

"ARE you a republican agent provacateur or shill or just stupid?"

I think you just gave yourself away and made your real intentions clear. Don't bother. I refuse to bite.

But it's funny, you just proved my point on some Obama supporters (since it is you who is the "provocateur", republican or otherwise) and your supposed argument about talking the issues which is really just a need to bait people to feel powerful.

You don't have any points or issues to really discuss, you could care less, because all of this is really just a weird need to bash people. Some bizarre need for attention. And this provides you the place to do that. Sort of like an obscene phone call. This is how you get your thrills.

I believe, sigmund5, you are a troll.

Original article: I was wrong about Wright

The Left Divides

It's funny, I was just over at dailykos and an online poll there says that 67% say that Wright is seriously hurting Obama. THAT from dailykos!

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/4/28/19640/1742/305/505138

So, it's amazing that some Obama supporters here are so stuck with their head in the ground to the damage that this could do to Obama. So willing to rationalize it away and even defend the crazyness of this man just because he's in some way related to Obama. The problem with this is that it's horrible timing for Obama in Indiana, a very middle class state. I also read that Obama is not too thrilled about this. So, if he's not, why should Joan be? Or maybe it's just all this about slamming Joan. Which raises the question what some of you are really about. Helping Obama or slamming Joan just to get your rocks off.

You know, it might be time to sober up for a bit and have real look at what some of you are doing to Obama by supporting this man. All that you blame Joan for could actually be your fault. Your defense of this ego maniac just may help damage Obama in this coming election. If Obama wins the nomination, your stupidity in defending this lunatic en masse could very help him and the Democrats lose the national. You might want to think this all through...carefully this time.

Maybe it's time someone said to Wright, "Not everything is ABOUT you!!"

God, I can't believe I trying to help Obama. But some of you are stone cold idiots if you can't see the problem here.

@Bob In Pacifica

There's a BIG difference between saying something might have been and saying something is for a fact. Regardless, it's a conspiracy theory. And hardly proven. What happened at Muskagee does not automatically translate into some secret plan of utilizing AIDS to kill African Americans, especially since the virus just happens to be color blind.

It's scaremongering and pandering to the worst fears of African Americans. Hardly elevates ANY conversation about race.

Something Stinks about these posters...

TNR.com, Huffington Post, dailykos.com, etc., WIRED, NYT (Bob Herbert), and numerous other "left" and extreme left have basically said the same thing about Wright as Joan and the authors in this piece. But no, the damnation by Obama posters against anything that comes close not painting a rosey picture of Obama and Obamaland just grinds on. It's funny you don't hear none of the stupidity you hear here and about Salon. You don't hear any of the posters at ANY of those sites saying "I'm quit _______ (add name of publication or site). ______ is racist for saying this. NO, they all talk intelligently about this.

So why the bizarre focus here against Salon for saying the same thing?

Me thinks most of you are only a few posters with varied names. And all these threats that you're never coming back to Salon? Yeah, right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'll just create another signon name and say exactly the same shit.

I don't believe ANY of you ANY more. You say out of one side of your mouth that Joan and Salon have a right to their own opinions and then threaten, scream, intimidate and say you're done with Salon for not spouting what you want to hear.

Something stinks to high heaven about your posts and your identities. Many of the letters are differently worded duplicates of each other. You're just a few Obama poseurs doing your best to highjack Salon to become Obama-land 24/7 and get your rocks off if you can that you were so intimidating.

You all stink! You really stink!

Tell This to Jeremiah Wright

Maybe someone ought to tell this to Jeremiah Wright who obviously thinks and believes what HE says deserves all this time and energy. It's not like anyone forced him into the limelight!

This is stupid. Like people or the media are just going to ignore it and Wright will just go away. Get real.

Stop blaming Joan, stop blaming the media and start placing the blame where it belongs, on J. Wright.
