Considering...

Rasmussen poll is now Obama 45 to Clinton 43, Obama is way down from where he was..

AND...

Gallup is Obama 47 to Clinton 44. On both of these, Obama went down significantly and Clinton up in the past several days.

So, yeah, I would say the poor showing at the debate hurt him.

And in Pennsylvania, it's important to look at polling companies that really have a one hell of a great track record (elections called on a dime) and my money goes to SurveyUSA and their last poll was Clinton 54 to Obama 40 a few days ago. If SurveyUSA were a racehorse, I'd be following them around the country to every race - making a bundle.

Obamabots (that doesn't mean all all Obama supporters, just the ones with their head in the Obama clouds) can spin all they want to, it won't change reality. Gravity still works.

@Bobswire

Bullshit. I live in Boulder, Colorado, a huge moveon.org community and let me tell you they RAN and over ran the caucuses here. They intimidated Clinton supporters by screaming at them for supporting her and, while complaints were lodged, of course nothing was ever done.

I used to be a big moveon.org supporter but after what I have seen, to hell with them. Now THAT IS ROVE tactics!

@marcparis

Ah, yes, the excuse for abuse. Democracy by intimidation.

Tell that to the black women for Clinton who I sat beside who told me they were called cunts and traitors by other blacks for supporting Clinton.

Tell that the senior citizens supporting Clinton who looked scared to death and angry sitting in the caucus.

The real thing that will cost Obama the presidential election will be the fallout from the caucuses. It will have been the evisceration not only of Clinton but of her supporters, who I remind you, are pretty much half of the Democratic electorate, that will cost Obama the election. And it will cost us all in the end.

Obama supporters and moveon.org should think very carefully about the divisiveness THEY have created. The condescending snobbery and over-righteousness will have a price.

Obama Falls Down

What a laugh these letters are. Criticize Joan if you want to, but reality has just set in for Obama.

LATEST Democractic Presidential Polls:

Gallup is Clinton 46 to Obama 45. On both of these, Obama went down significantly and Clinton up in the past several days.

AND...

Rasmussen poll is now Clinton 43 to Obama 45. Sorry, but Obama is way down from where he was..

So, yeah, I would say the poor showing at the debate hurt him.

And in Pennsylvania, it's important to look at polling companies that really have a one hell of a great track record (elections they have called that landed on a dime) and my money goes to SurveyUSA and their last poll was Clinton 54 to Obama 40 a few days ago. If SurveyUSA were a racehorse, I'd be following them around the country to every race - making a bundle.

Obamabots (that doesn't mean all all Obama supporters, just the ones with their head in the Obama clouds) can spin, spit venom and pretend all they want to, it won't change reality.

Gravity still works.

@Tom Payne

Ah, Tom, I feel you payne. By the way, which national polls? Newsweek? HAHAHAHAHAHA. They have a built in bias and they suck at accurate polling. Even Zogby, who has sucked lately (remember California?). How about trying some real ones:

gallup.com

rasmussen.com

surveyusa.com

realclearpolitics.com

If you're gonna shit all over the place, at least know your shit.

@Tom Payne

Ah, Tom, you're such a sweetie. Such kind and gentle words and sooooooo inspiring. Thank you! You prove my point about obamabots every time. and you'd make Obama proud. As far as Shawn is concerned, I do this for him...speaking of sheep...obaaaaaamaaaaaa....obaaaaaaamaaaaaa....obaaaaaamaaaa.

There. Happy now?

Thanks, Joan!

And thanks, I imagine, from all the women who have been dragged into that "back room" and not been the one coming out. It's funny how willingly people forget when it's convenient for their views that the suggestion that violence against women is somehow acceptable...and that women have been paying with their lives because of it.

Anyway, I figure you need it, considering all the crap you get from most Obama supporters here who are so blinded that they see any defense of sexism or misogyny as a defense of Clinton.

God forbid anyone in the media dare say anything that could in someway be remotely construed as somehow positive of Clinton and they get bashed on a personal level to no end.

What really scares me is that so many Obama supporters really don't see how they are actually advocating for a totalitarianistic (and BTW paternal, patriarchal and neoconservative) viewpoint by their insistence that no opinion that isn't worshipful of Obama or spewing hatred for Clinton should be banned or is treason in someway. Where are we, Iran?

So much for democracy and free speech!

@Bob In Pacifica

Gee, Bob, what about all the women in Pakistan that Obama said he was willing to invade if they didn't cough up bin Laden?

Oh, that's right, we can't say that, can we? It's something negative against Obama!

Bizarre how when the shoes on the other foot it suddenly doesn't fit anymore.

@mishkin

Ah, yes, I'm sure Clinton mentioned the need to "obliterate a whole population". Right!

Unless you have an actual quote AND the legitimate reference, spare me.

Friday, April 25, 2008 02:44 PM

@mishkin

So, obviously a nuclear strike against Israel is okay in your book? No big deal?

Friday, April 25, 2008 03:06 PM

@mishkin

Am I to infer from you that just because Israel has nuclear bombs that somehow it would be okay to bomb Israel?

Since Iran has said that Israel doesn't deserve to exist, am I to infer from what you have written that you agree with Iran?

Am I to infer from you that it's okay to invade/bomb another country (sound familiar?) because we somehow need to find one single man?

Two can play this little game of yours.
