Until Sexism is recognized the same way Racism is, until it is not tolerated the constant excuse will be, "...oh but not this woman."

All women are human and there will be no perfect one that everyone says they envision. This is a bullshit response used as an excuse for unconscious sexism no more or less than unconscious racism.

As long as sexism is tolerated, encouraged in use against any woman no matter her flaws, all women will suffer. It DOESN'T MATTER what Clinton's flaws are. It doesn't make the sexism used against her suddenly okay and right!

Sexism IS Racism - it is the same as racism and it's effects are the same!

BUT the fact that blog is actually something authentically attached to Salon is mindblowing!!! That horrible blog proves the point even more so! That it's acceptable and tolerable to use sexism against Clinton because she is Clinton says loud and clear that sexism and hate toward women just because they are women is acceptable. Once again, if that guy on that blog were calling Obama a nigger instead of just calling Clinton a cunt (over and over and over again!), people would be demanding that blog be removed as hate speech! It's unbelievable that Salon allows this to go on!!

I thought Opus was one place I could get relief from this hypocrisy, the sheer sexist bigotry and the callowness of how Senator Clinton has been ravaged and thrown to the wolves. At least up until now Opus had the sanity to see all sides and look a little deeper and say what vox populi hasn't got the guts to or the foresight to say. But obviously that's no longer the case. Even here, even here.

Breathed, I have been an ardent fan from the beginning, years and years ago and have loved Opus dearly (I still even have a stuffed Opus and many of your books) and have supported every strip up until now but now I hate to say it, this throws it way over the top for me.

It's so funny. And then to read an article such as this with such absolute blasphemy against the Perfect Order and Word of Obama is winning fair and square such as this?! That their Adored One might just be....shall we dare say it?...an ordinary manipulative politician, winning in an ordinary manipulative politician kind-of-way? And that all might not be so very PERFECT in Obama-Land? Yikes! Wow...the acute Obama Obsessive Personality Disorder madness then just heaves into manic over-drive!

Poor Little Obamabots. The truth hurts. But you go ahead and fool yourselves, believing that if you argue the opposite long enough, loud enough, abrasive enough, that somehow that truth will change.

Or really, poor us, the Democrats, because if Obama wins by such pretense, strongarms the system and disenfranchises by abuse Clinton supporters in the process, the real truth will blow us out of the water in November.
