Actually, I take it back, he was tasered. If you watch the videos at YouTube you can clearly hear the fast clicking of the taser or stun gun.

I still think the police overreacted with pulling him out too soon and with especially so with tasering. That just seems extreme (And for the most part, I'm not much of a cop person but even in a free society, they're absolutely necessary). But I also think it's their job to assess for danger and then act. In addition, you can see one of the organizers in one of the videos asking the mike to be cut, etc. and saying something to the cops before they start trying to get him to quit.

In the end, I think the guy saw an opportunity for getting extreme attention and went for it. When he's simply being escorted out, before they even do anything to him, he starts calling for help...for what? Basically, he's asking for people to resist the police. With all due respect, that probably would be indeed considered inciting a riot. The right to protest is great and should be protected but I'm not sure this qualifies. Some posts I've seen from students at UF say this guy has done this before and always gets like this.

After reading some of these letters, all I can say is....Thank you Steve Jarding and Dave "Mudcat" Saunders so much for that name "Bubba!" Best damn "label" I've heard in a long time. I can hardly wait to use it. Oh, and whoever wrote from "Bubbastan", I almost snorted up my latte, I laughed so hard.

And all you little Bubba's, you just keep writing! Okay?!!! We really want to hear from you!! Yes, YOU!! Sing your little fascist, racist, sexist Bubba nonsense all day! Because the more people see what a bunch of amazingly stupid dorks you all are, the more the bad ole Democrats will win in 2008! So, please, keep writing your little Bubba screeching emails.
