Original article: Can Palin ever come back?

Dream on, Camille

Camille--

Your response to the letter about Sarah Palin was laughably misinformed.

1.That pipeline project is far from a success or even a done deal. It's going to take at least ten years for it to carry oil.

2. Sarah is lacking far, far more than a cadre of trusted pros. She succeeded in low-level politics by knowing when to use an inflection in politics to turn on her mentors and colleagues to pronounce that she was jumping out of the politics-as-usual box for the good of the people. You can't do that at the national level more than once or twice. It didn't go so well for John McCain when he suspended his campaign, did it?

3. You describe Palin's virtues as "her complete freedom from routine micromanagement and business as usual." Yeah. That's the kind of person I want running the federal government. Someone who trusts his gut, listens to God whispering in his ear, and always takes the game-changing choice! Oh wait--that didn't work for "43"...

Gee Camille, would it be OK if we had a competent President? Because the country and hell, the WORLD need that. Sarah Palin will never be competent. The women bolts whenever she has to do the grunt work in her jobs.

4. Wake up, you homer. Palin did not clean Biden's clock. How many drinks did you have while watching that debate? The woman didn't even answer half the questions asked of her. And guess what, Camille: Purdum didn't invent the words of the McCain campaign staffers or Alaskan politicians.

Sarah expended all of her political capital and alienated most of the GOP establishment who came in contact with her. Having the support of AM talk show yammerheads won't get you elected to the Oval Office.

Say, are you sleeping with Bill Kristol? Or actually Bill Kristol in bad drag? Either possibility would explain a lot.

Thanks for summing up this whole Palin bullshit nonsense in one sentence: "Whether Palin has a national future or not will depend on her willingness to hit the books at some point and absorb more information about international history and politics than she has needed to know in her role as governor."

NOT GONNA HAPPEN, CAMILLE. She's never done that before and she sure isn't going to start now. Don't confuse an ability to play to a crowd with education, experience, the desire to hammer out complex policy and the political skills to bring people together.

Say goodbye to your pop-star politician. She is DONE.

The world's biggest supply of sleazy idiots.

Can't you folks in the Lone Star State put Rick on display and charge admission? "Kids, don't grow up to be like this!"
