This is tiresome and pathetic

Watching Sarah Palin deal with the media is like watching a parody about politicians or a model UN exercise at your local high school. The props are in place, the clothes are right...but the fart-stink of unintentional comedy is ever-present and unavoidable. The more Sarah talks off-script, the goofier and more unprepared she looks. Sarah should learn that it's not a good idea to bitch at your audience, esp. when your audience is filled with professional journalists quite capable of turning your Presidential bid into a farewell tour.

Why are we pretending that this woman is a viable candidate for national politics? If she looked frumpy or plain, we wouldn't spend two minutes talking abut her.

If Palin is the best the GOP can do for '12, bring it on--please. Everyone thinks that she has a future in national politics. Here's a clue: we've had eight years of folksy, "from the gut" style leader and we're sick of that character. Palin is interesting because she was dropped into the '08 campaign late in the race and was a young, sexy face to counter the GOP's image of being tired and out of touch. To be a presidential candidate in the foreseeable future, however, you need to be competent, have experience and bring policy substance to the table. Palin will never have these things. She's going to sputter out like Fred Thompson if she runs for President.

Another obnoxious Texas Republican? What a surprise!

Thanks so much, Texas, for electing another puffed-up clown as Governor. Rumor has it that he wants to run for President--maybe that was why he took over the press conference at the end. I'm sure our hockey mom just loved being moved in and out of mike range like daddy's little girl.

The GOP is so morally and intellectually bankrupt--just look at its "leaders." Thanks for destroying the country, guys. Why don't you stick to clearing brush and "hunting" wolves in planes. The rest of us will fix the country.

Good to know that Dana's just as awful and stupid as the rest of the Bush WH

Goodbye, Dana, we won't miss you. What a snotty, arrogant, and idiotic cow. How the HELL do you get to be White House press secretary and not know what the Cuban missile crisis was? Does anyone in the Republican party actually give a damn about history or facts or evidence? Do they watch anything besides Fox and the screaming right-wing pundits?

These people are so awful, incompetent, hateful and destructive that we should have a national week of celebration for having survived them. Let's just kick them out the door, count all the silver to make sure they didn't steal any, and save this country.

Original article: Battling Dick Armey

It's good that we still have the Republican party...

...because it neatly gathers together so, so many losers and assclowns. Dick Armey should be an afterthought, much like Alphonse D'Amato or Rick Santorum. It's a shame his hide wasn't nailed to the wall for sexual harassment or simple incompetence, but perhaps that says something about the idiocy of his former supporters and voters.

Phil Gingrey, however, doesn't deserve anyone's compassion. "Oh Rush, you're a conservative giant! I misspoke! Can you ever forgive me?!?" I think Mr. Gingrey is angling to become Rush's new proctologist. (How *is* that anal cyst doing these days, Rush? The one that kept you out of being drafted for Vietnam...)

The Repulbicans lost because their ideas stopped working and their policies favored fewer and fewer Americans. They dragged us into a needless war, botched the occupation, trashed the Constitution and Geneva Convention, let Afghanistan spiral out of control, let New Orleans drown, spat on minorities, did NOTHING about global warrming, and let the credit crisis ruin our economy.

This party F-A-I-L-E-D America. They need to break with their past, get acquainted with the needs of this country and serve as the voice of restraint against the larger excesses of expansionist federal programs. They need to LOSE their reliance on wedge issues. No one cares anymore. This country is in too much trouble to fixate on things like prayer in school and gay marriage.

The path to future Republican success doesn't include misogynistic, homophobic, racist clowns like Dick Armey. Laugh at Dick, and move on.

He was late for his hooker date

Senator Vitter is a very gettin' busy man! Her time is money--his money.

Too bad Republicans STILL bray about national security...and then ignore it when it gets in the way of their plans.

Michael Steele can it kick with the best of them! Here's a pic to prove it...

...he's doin' the humpty hump.

Seriously, this guy is getting all the wrong kind of attention. National party chairmen are supposed to point people's attention toward issues, not themselves. Steele is lightweight and a distraction. He doesn't have the vision, ideological purity or discipline to revive the GOP.

I predict he'll be gone within six months, and that's being generous.
