Conservative Anti-Science Politicians in the House & Senate

According to the dictionary a conservative is a person who believes in traditon and social stability. In other words the status quo. They resist change and especially change that involves government regulation and change that interferes with profits of the corporations that support their election and re-election to the Congress and the Senate. This should be exposed. They are not "true conservatives". They are reactionary and obstructive. They are not fulfilling and living up to their oath of office to "protect and defend the Constitution of the United States" or passing legislation to benefit the "general welfare" of all of the citizens of the United States, not just Exxon/Mobile, Halburton/KBR, BP, Texaco, Shell etc. Taxes and government regulation are not evil. Corporate control of the government is the problem. When will the people wake and rise up against the reactionaries who are not representing them?

Isn't Motrin bad for babies who are breast fed?

If women are breast feeding their babies, and they hurt their back carryiing their infants, isn't taking Motrin bad for the babies? What about strollers, partners, relatives and fathers if they have them? The more things "change", the more they stay the same. When will we eliminate sexism from our culture and our planet? Merchandizing, how much profit is enough for any product or company? Attempts at exploiting sexist sterotypes for more profits and market share pisses me and many other people off. Buy Advil or the generic instead and tell the makers of Motrin to sease and desist from ads like this in the future. Money talks. Some people don't move when they see the light, only when they feel the heat.

If Obama is a Communist, what does that make Warren Buffet?

If President Obama is a communist, what does that make the investment capitalist Warren Buffet, who has endorsed, advised and given money to him? The charge is a "red herring" like "terrorist". It is just part of their smear campaign.

Their so called "conservative" movement is dead. As Obama said, "The American people want a government that works." It is not a matter of the size of the government. Does the government work for all of us, we, the people? The purpose of government, as stated in the US Constitution is to "to promote the general welfare" of all of the citizens of the United States, not just Halburton, the Carlyle Group and Blackwater etc.

If you want good government, you have to pay for it. No one likes to pay taxes. What most of us want is for every one to pay their fair share of taxes and for government to "promote the general welfare" "protect and defend" the citizens of the US.

The problem with government is the corporate control of it, not it's size. Thomas Jefferson got it wrong. We don't need a government that governs the least, but government that governs effectively, justly and fairly according to the law. Not a government, of the rich, by the rich and for the rich. But, Thomas Jefferson got it right when he wrote in the Declaration of Independence that "it is the inherent right of the people to alter or abolish, their government."

Single Payer, Univeral Healthcare is the only change I believe in

Why are so many of you giving up without a fight and either settling for the status quo or "the public option" which won't work when the cost effective and moral solution, HR 676 and SB 703 Nation Healthcare Reform Act or "Improved Medicare for All" is being kept off the table and out of the MSM by the healthcare industrial complex and their slaves, the politicians who they own in the Congress and the Senate?

When enough of "we, the people" understand, then we can rise up and either get the healthcare we need or "alter or abolish" our form of government to one that better suits, us, "we, the people" and not the healthcare industrial complex.

Truthfully is wrong about racism being a part of the backlash to Obama

From what Wilson has said and his past associations with racist groups, I am not surprised by his outburst. But we will never be able to get past racism until we come to terms with the economic and psychological legacy of slavery in this country. Race and gender are used to divide us and not see who the real oppressors are, the ruling class who are duping and buying off all the politicians and the masses through their front groups and control of the mass media.

Scalia is not a conservative, he is a reactionary. racist, regressive and repressive Justice

According to the dictionary, a conservative likes to keep things as they are and not change things. Justice Scalia wants to regress, and go backward in law. He favors less rights for the individual. He says he favors "states rights". He favors the rich, the corporations and the powerful. In short, he wants to turn back the clock and have law and government only serve rich, white, heterosexual males. He says he is against "activist judges" and "legislating from the bench" by judges, when he does the same to reverse standing Supreme Court precident and reverse previous Supreme Court rullings that he disagrees with, either in it's impact, it reason or for "faultly logic and legal reasoning." He says he always looks for the "original intent" of the Founders of the American Republic and the authors of the Constitution, all of whom were rich, white, land owners and some were owners of slaves. The Founders accepted slavery and counted 3/5 of them for the purposes of political representation without voting rights. Women, people without property and people of color where excluded from the "original Constitution". He can't wait to over turn any of the Civil Rights and Abortion Rights legislation. If he says he is against "judicial activism" or "activist judges", he is a hypocrite.
