Is Bullying Still A Central Issue?

I am intrigued by this book. The statement in the article stating that they didn't target jocks or minorities really throws me for a loop. I still feel that in a lot of these retaliations, bullying is a factor. A lot of the athletic, testosterone, maybe even steroid driven boys, and sometimes girls (mean girls) drive the weaker, less fortunate students to the brink. I really wish there was a comprehensive program and disciplinary action enforced for these pseudo NFL, NBA and Americas' Next Top Model wanna bes. Sick, Sick, Sick of it!

I Believe

I believe in God the Father, almighty maker of heaven and maker of earth, And in Jesus Christ, His only begotten son our Lord.

I believe, what I believe, is what makes me what I am. I did not make it. No, it is making me. It is the very truth of God and not the invention of any man.

Can We Be Real Here?

How about if we had all of the press corp that traveled with Obama during the campaign write their own account of the day to day events of the primaries and the election. Maybe one might say, that after his losses in Texas and Ohio, that Obama was down and depressed. Maybe another journalist would write that Obama had a quiet resolve and was determined to fight to the end. Even Joe Biden, in an interview with Katie Couric, said that FDR got on "TV" and spoke encouragingly to people during the depression and Pearl Harbor. On TV!?! Does this mean that Joe Biden didn't really run as the VP on the ticket? Does this mean that Obama really didn't win Nov. 4th of 2008? They are people! The twelve apostles were PEOPLE!! When you read the old testament you will learn of the prophecies that tell about how the messiah would be born, how he would be rejected by his own towns people, how he would triumphantly enter Jerusalem and then three days later die nailed to a tree. The lineage from Adam, Abraham to David down to Mary and Joseph are all documented. The new testament and the birth, ministry and death of Jesus confirms the old testament prophecies. Wow!! From Ehrman's readings, I guess Jesus created the grandest scheme ever just so he could be crucified! All Jesus had to do was renounce that He said that He was the son of God and he would not have been crucified, which consisted of great suffering and humiliation. All Mary, His mother, had to do was say "He's crazy!" You mean if she actually believed He was not the Son of God, she wouldn't have wanted to save her son's life? He chose to die as the final sacrifice. "Those who have ears to hear let them hear!" I guess Ehrman would say that since not everyone can hear, that this scripture doesn't prove to be true, taking into account the deaf population.

The old testament says the Messiah is coming and the new testament says the Messiah is here. Historically, there is far more scripture that is CORRECT. I'd like to see Ehrman take on that project, although I don't think there are enough hours in the day to complete that one.

Criticized if he does, criticized if he doesn't

For the past two months people have been saying that Obama needs to build confidence. The talking heads said that he needed to reasure people that everything was going to be all right. I thought the stockmarket and credit was about CONFIDENCE. Banks showing a profit and the market having a gain at all at this time is a reason to be hopeful. HOPE remember...

Yes we can... He's trying, which is more than I can say for the last administration. Remember in Dec. and late Jan. bozo W just sat on his hands. People were chomping at the bit. "Obama should do something now!" Before he was even inaugerated, he had to keep reminding people that there was only one president at a time.

It Sounds Like You Guys Are Working Through Some Serious Issues

I didn't know it was any of you business about Gov. Palin's daughter getting married and the young man she's going to marry. I'm sure they'd love to have your input. Did you dodge a shot gun yourself?

Thanks Data-guy

I've really risen in political ranks being attacked by one of Obama's attack dogs. Snarling, druel hanging beast that you are. Good Luck!

Faith Based Obama

I know, why don't you ask your candidate if he'll exclude funding for any church that is pro-life and pro-abstinence and filled with the Holy Spirit in his Faith Based Initiative Program. Or maybe find out if Obama only helped churches in Chicago, as an organizer, if they spoke ill of America and caucasions.

Oh Ya I Find It Hillarious

Its hillarious that someone that is supposed to be such a marginal pick is getting such a rise from the ones who are supposed to have such superior intelligence and political savvy. Look we both know that you will still continue to be able to CHOOSE. We had six years of republican white house, congress and supreme court and you can still CHOOSE. This is a non-issue. The fear card is being played on both sides of the isle. The only thing that is really evident is the hatred that is being spewed from the left of the left. Does it feel good to laugh at a hurtful situation?
