strange

What I found most strange about this stuff is Klein's insistence that there must be something wrong with Clinton if he's engaging in all these personal, immoral activities.

That just strikes me as really strange, because it stands in contrast with Clinton's accomplishments as president and the seriousness with which he treated his job and his responsibilities, as opposed to someone like, say, GWB.

Klein seems to be grasping for an effect from his cause that doesn't seem to exist. Klein is implying that there must be things that Clinton has effed up on account of his dubious personal life, when no such evidence exists.

so

If someone is raped, but the rapist targets men and women indiscriminately, it's clearly not a form of sexual assault.

BRILLIANT.

Someone give these jurists a pie in the face. And a spanking.

according to Obama supporters:

People often accuse Hillary of questionable logic, but it seems to me that the Obama supporters are the ones most guilty of twisting reality to serve their purpose.

Hillary wins in NH?

It's because of racist white women... meaning, Obama is still the winner!

Hillary wins in NV?

It's because of the die-hard Dems... meaning, Obama is still the winner!

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Sometimes a win is just a win.

And it's funny to see the same people who decry rural voting advantages at the national level praise them here, when they happen to work in favor of their candidate of choice. Either you're against the inequality of votes, or you're not.

Dear Thrasher:

Kindly STFU.

No one listens to you. No one agrees with you. No one buys your crap when you accuse other posters of being fearmongers or unpatriotic or racist. No one cares about your (inaccurate and/or irrelevant) 'observations.'

You don't seem to understand that everything you write makes people dislike you, disbelieve you, distrust you, and ignore you. You are accomplishing nothing for your personal agenda. All you are doing is wasting space. Do yourself a favor and stop making people hate you.

Original article: Romney wins Nevada caucuses

this makes me wonder

I hope Ron Paul runs as an independent. I mean, really, a lot. He could totally be the new Ralph Nader. Split the Republican vote and hand the presidency to the Dems on a silver platter. I can see it now....

AKA

Kucinich or Biden would be good VPs too.

it's true that

Democrats will not have a cake-walk in the November election, no matter who we nominate. But the plain fact is, Americans are disgusted with the way this country is being run. They are disgusted with the way the economy is going, and they want out of Iraq. The individual voter wants someone who is going to be sensible with foreign diplomacy and about the economy.

I think that most people will vote with their principles in this upcoming election, even if that means voting for a black man or a woman.

oh dear.

Anyone who believes those "Barack Hussein Obama" ads came from anyone other than a right-wing interest group is absolutely insane. Get real.

And, Serena (or whatever your name was), Obama does not "move" me or fit in with my conscience. I used to have doubts about supporting Hillary, serious doubts. Maybe Obama really was the candidate of the future. Maybe he really was a great, intelligent guy prepared to change this country. But the way he has been running his campaign... which is to say, almost exactly the same as any other politician... has proven to me that he is just another ambitious Ivy-leaguer in an expensive suit. His record in the Senate has proved to me that even though he likes to flaunt the fact that he doesn't accept money from lobbies, he is willing to be their bitch when it really counts: When it comes down to votes. Which wouldn't be so bad, except that his entire campaign and platform are based around what a great guy he is, what a great agent for change.

He is exactly like the rest of them, except that he lies about it.

The more all of this unfolds, the surer I am that Hillary is the next president of our country. I've realized that there can be no such thing as a really nice guy who just wants to change the world for the better, who also happens to engage in the same dirty tactics and swiftboating as all the other guys. Such a candidate would not get half as far as Obama has with Obama's slim resume. That's just reality. Hillary goes for the throat, and she knows how to take punches as well as she can give them. She has been fighting misogyny and hatred for years. If there's anyone tough enough to handle the office of the POTUS, it's her. No doubt about it.

So, in the end, her competence is what "moves" me. Because I am moved to outrage by Obama's dishonest portrayal of his own campaign.

P.S.

The subtitle of this piece seems misleading. The "candidates" are not bickering over who won the delegates. It sounds to me like the Obama campaign is pulling false facts out of their collective ass (no doubt to "inspire" his loyal thralls), whereas the Clinton campaign is just deferring to what the Nevada Democratic party actually says.

Doesn't sound like victory to me. Sounds like a sore loser trying to make himself into a winner.
