If that means that 98% of Americans never travel more than 300 radius from where they live today, so be it. It would foster regionalism and interest in localities. And if Disney wants people to come to Disneyworld, let Disney run their own airline. Most people would do just fine. FedEx could still charge whatever they need to charge.

And in case you're wondering if people would drive more? No not if you put an absolute cap on fuel rationing per household per month. We really don't need the airlines as much as they need us to pay them and NOT fly. So the remedy should be to let them run on their own.
