Original article: We told you so

Actually no

Progressives have lobbied for unlimited access to the American dream by anyone anywhere & damn the cost. Odd how that works out when you push for unemployed illegal aliens with a crack habit to own a McMansion for no money down.

That one person is a criminal

Is not an indictment of the entirety of economics since the early 18th Century. After all Mugabe is an avowed Marxist and no one here would dare criticize that based on the death of a few million Zimbabweans, would they? That would be unfair.

Anyway a large number of charities, non profits and foundations just went broke as a result of this. So.....I guess they should turn to the government for a bailout next? Otherwise we're implying to those charities "Screw you people...."

Good thing a shoe didn't bonk off a Koran

That would be an insult to all of Islam and 8 days of arson would be required to quench the ire.

Original article: Lionizing the shoe thrower

That particular TV 'reporter' lives in Sadr city

And routinely calls Bush and all Americans "Dogs" and "Scum", stopping just this side of calling for death and murder. In case you wondering how loud to clap for this asshole.

I'm waiting for the Salon advocacy of free speech after the first time someone screams out "Die Nigger" at an Obama event.

pancake

Why yes. I thought everyone knew about Nixon's trip to South America in the '50's.

Original article: Lionizing the shoe thrower

Exterminate the ruling class

All of them, every man woman and child. A million heads on pikes as a warning to the others. For Peace.

Monday, December 15, 2008 09:46 AM

Too bad it wasn't a grenade.

Too bad the entire room wasn't wiped out. Too bad we can't nuke the White Man. Crank up the ovens. Kill everyone.

Original article: WTF of the day

You are the one who's obsessed, Kate.

Or jealous? There's really nothing in that demo that indicates that this is sexually oriented. But you're the one going on and on about wheelchair bound android porn.

Monday, December 15, 2008 10:51 AM

Too bad

He was not a horse.

Monday, December 15, 2008 10:54 AM

I throw fetuses at people going to planned parenthood

Or was that too tasteless?

Monday, December 15, 2008 11:39 AM

Shoe Guy just got an award for bravery from Mumar Khadafy's 'charity'

That is awesome that a man who murdered 230 people on an airplane is in the same boat as you. Allahu Crackpot!!

From Reuters

The charity group "Wa Attassimou" also urged the Iraqi government to release television reporter Muntazer al-Zaidi after he was detained on Sunday for hurling footwear at Bush and calling the American president a "dog" - both severe insults in the Middle East.

"Waatassimou group has taken the decision to give Muntazer al-Zaidi the courage award ... because what he did represents a victory for human rights across the world," the group, headed by Aicha Gadhafi, said in a statement.

The group said the Iraqi authorities should honor the journalist for his actions.

Day 1100

"We plan on leaving Iraq a better place than we found it. At least that's the plan."

Original article: Shop and awe

Tinkie

No, that's because where you live the homeowners have become greedy miserable bastards who inflated the value of their homes 1000%. I can't find a single person from there, and I used to live there, who doesn't brag to be that people are literally banging on their doors offering them 25X what they paid for their homes, in the late 80's. Everyone's a millionaire on paper. Even the Mexican lawn guys. Levitt Crackerboxes built in 1947 are up to $700k.

So it's hard to feel bad for the shopoholics bemoaning it all. Soon enough LI will have no young families. It will be renters and old people. Already in towns like Melville there are so many old people that all public services are being converted to their use as all the schools close. But since the property taxes are already so high they can't go any higher, all the townships are going to plunge into bankruptcy soon.

Have a nice ride to the bottom.

Monday, December 15, 2008 11:48 AM

Don't ask don't tell

Sounds like a lot of people just didn't care where their returns were coming from or how they were generated. Oh well. I hope you starve, frozen to the sidewalk this winter. Kill the ruling class, all of them.

Original article: WTF of the day

Brian

That's all backstory created by Kate Harding. The guy who built it seemed pretty harmless. Unless you think harmless is the new Hannibal Lechter or something. You fuddy duddies probably want to ban Pinnochio because of your own hangups.

Did you ever wonder why voice response systems have human sounding voices? Because people respond to human sounding voices more than they respond to Stephen Hawking's voco-synthesizer. It's axiomatic that if you were building a device to replace people in a people to people interaction you would strive to make it as human as possible.

Monday, December 15, 2008 11:58 AM

So is that the eastern west coast elite

Or the far western east coast elite? Or maybe it's the exsuburbanurbanites?

Monday, December 15, 2008 11:59 AM

No one threw them an election to throw

So they figure they're out of the process. Give them a tie and they award it to the GOP. Give them an issue of standing and they run screaming the other way.

Monday, December 15, 2008 01:57 PM

That the shoe missed him

Is clear evidence of the zionist control of gravity.

Monday, December 15, 2008 01:59 PM

jameslow

ever been hit with a HORSEshoe?

Monday, December 15, 2008 02:01 PM

Then they'll whine and pout we owe them all shoes.

Mommy drinks because you're bad. And I hope "12 Monkeys" winds up being a documentary.

Well thank He Who Does Not Exist

That everything everywhere went badly into the ditch and we'll soon be bringing back cannibalism. So you have that going for you.

Tuesday, December 16, 2008 06:23 AM
Original article: Obama's Afghan headache

And the solution to all of this looks like............?

Right. See the clocked in Afghanistan stopped a thousand years ago. And any effort to jump start them forward a few hundred years is going to look like the Shah of Iran. And we know how much you guys loved him.

Tuesday, December 16, 2008 06:25 AM

Why not?

What makes you think 30 year political cronies, hacks and insiders can do a better job?

Tuesday, December 16, 2008 08:05 AM
Original article: "Serena"

All beavers in NC are transplants

All indigenous beavers in NC were wiped out more than a hundred years ago. After that a program to transplant beavers from elsewhere was started. Today all beavers are non - indigenous.

Original article: Eye for an eye, literally

Actually it's not literally

Sorry Tracy Clark-Flory but it's not 'literally' the case. Ayin tachet ayin doesn't mean what you think it means, it means (literally) 'make the punishment fit the crime'. It means (literally) that the measure of justice must be appropriate to the commission of the offense. Not more not less not creative not insane.

Original article: Jesse Jr. worked with feds?

I'm sorry but according to your lord and savior Glenn Greenwald this is a trivial issue

We should march to the Master's Orders. This is not that. Sorry, read your memos better.

Tuesday, December 16, 2008 05:05 PM

There are 700,000 units in inventory.

That's why. They will need to work down that inventory first.
