You can only forestall failure so long at which point those companies like Triumph, Rover, MG, Jaguar, Vauxhall, Lotus, Cooper, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin (and 3 dozen other companies) either die or become just a name on someone else's car.

Anyway if you want to underwrite one industry forever then fine. Cut their wages 20% and pay the difference out of taxes. They would have been better off calling the UAW's bluff and letting them strike forever, years ago. Now they're stuck with each other. May they all drown in boiling lava in hell.

Instead of joining a union, you're shackled to that company for a period of time. Like the way China handles their manufacturing complexes - barracks. But with more restrictions. In exchange they take care of you completely 100%, a place to live, some money, training, free health care, every expense carried by the company. After a set block of time you're free to move to any other company who will hire you at any wage you're able to negotiate or you can be self employed or you can go on welfare for a small portion of what you last were 'paid'.

We need to leave, ignore it and let them settle it however they want. It really matters nothing what we want and there's nothing we could do about it if it did.
