western annihilation of the self

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Many people who are on the brink of total awareness of discovering their mindfulness go through a lot of trials and tribulations before they find themselves. Only to realize they were never really lost. They become stuck in the western definition of self and what makes up the self. If you compare the western with eastern definitions of self you will find that there is nothing wrong with you. Here in the west most parents teach children ( along with school systems ) to look outside for the self. They want your achievements to define you. This causes a lot of suffering down the road for most people, especially creative people. Eastern definitions ( like Buddhism ) are almost the complete opposite. There is a deep inward look and family lineage, not a lot of books but verbal recalling of teachings. Here in the west we are so stuck on what is outside the self to define it, people take a pill that starts out on the outside then is swallowed in hopes it fixes the inside. Unfortunately this all to often does not heal the inner wounds one feels about constantly looking back and forward to define the self.

First, anybody who says they would vote for MCcain if they can't vote for Barack, does not want change ,they just want a younger man for president instead of the older one.I will vote for Hillary or Barack, they are both great. And lets not forget our first teacher( for most people)was our mothers. I think alot of men can't stand Hillary cause she might remind them that their mother is running the country.So Guys, don't hate your first teacher, your mothers. Most Men don't want to hear Hillary cause it's like listening to their mothers nagging them, and their girl friends and wifes .
Now lets not forget that now their are different types of feminists, however , it's a label all women can't escape.I have to recommend a book to the author called " Meeting The Great Bliss Queen" written by Anne Carolyn Klein.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Look, there are a lot of stupid people having kids, so smart people should stop thinking so much and have a child or children. Being a parent is hard, yes, I Know. I had natural childbirth 15 months ago. I waited till I was 35 to have a child.My baby boy is so precious to me. I can't imagine life without him now. I feel that I know what true attachment is now. The soul picks the parents. The Karma has to be played out. Yes, you have a choice, but so does the soul of the child. Happiness follows sadness and sadness follows happiness, this happens over and over, so let go of the perfect world in your mind . The world, despite the bad , is also still a magical and beautiful place. You have to be strong and have courage to pull another soul over to this side of reality. And that soul will pick you when it is time.The world needs more gentle people, so raise your child in a gentle manner and the world can be a better place.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I Like Bill Clinton. I think he was a great President. I admire his courage to support Hillary. I think Hillary will do well in Philly and Pennsylvania. Both of them are working hard. Obama is working hard too, however his wife seems to be hidden from the political battle field some what. People give Bill and Hillary a hard time for being part of the past. However, they were part of a past time that was a positive past time( balanced budget) and that should count for something great, not negative.

They both want it winner take all, they both want to be President. The truth is we would make history even better if they had to serve together. Wouldn't be the odd couple. The Democratic party doesn't have to be split. Both Hillary and Barack should have to work together on this. If they both want change and to bring the country together then they should work together. The truth is, that most Americans can't imagine a African American and a White Women serving together as pres and vice pres in the white house. Remember the movie look who's coming to dinner, look who's coming to the white house.
