@jc12345:
Powell is a sell-out? What does that Make John McCain? Among other things, how do you explain his dismal voting record on veterans issues? Or that his support of the troops doesn't go beyond lip service? Check out any number of vet sites and find how completely his actual support of soldiers is at odds with what he has been saying. AND why did he make a tremendous effort to suppress-and classify-the search for MIAs? Isn't that in conflict with "No Man Left Behind"? Powell was speaking from his conscience. John McCain no longer appears to have a conscience-if he ever did.
I haven't seen such ugliness and division since the Nixon campaign. The GOP is still using the same BS for this election-even at the expense of the people and the country, which they are shamelessly trying to tear to pieces("divide and Conquer")in the bid for power at any price.
P.S.: RIck Davis is a crook-look it up.
@berlet98 "YOUR" country? In the immortal words of Phil Phil Ochs, "Go find another country to be part of". To borrow from his lyrics Bush/Cheney have torn out the heart of the country and now the successors are trying to take the election not on issues or ideology but but ugliness, lies and innuendo. Voting the McCain/Pain ticket is the deathwish. Idiots who are buying their smear/fear rhetoric are the same ones who gave us the last eight years.
Republicans only doubt polls when they are not in their favor. They try to skewer the numbers by conducted biased polls of their own. Then they can loudly proclaim: "We're ahead! Polls say so!" in an attempt to manipulate public opinion. If that doesn't work they just ignore them and do what they want anyway. They are not interested the will of the people. Their only interest in polls is as a tool to achieve their single agenda-win at any price. (Take the impeachment proceedings against Clinton-polls showed that the people were overwhelmingly against it-but they went ahead with it anyway, and not because they cared one whit about Clinton's behavior-it was a way to put the Republican party back in power-at taxpayers' expense, BTW.)
I'm not going to call you a racist-just an idiot.
People like you gave us eight years of Bush/Cheney.
Google Clint Curtis. Read about how Clint Curtis testified Dec 2004 about being approached by a Rpublican congressman to write hidden software that would change votes to Republican.(He testified that he did-very simple program.) For some reason this story barely made the news, and in light of all the concern about voter fraud and rigged machines I'm surprised that hardly anyone mentions it. Read about it-it's pretty scary stuff.
The 2004 Ohio election was stolen. There was considerable evidence to that effect but it was barely reported a few months after the so called election of Bush/Cheney and(surpise, surprise) was never really investigated. I knew someone who actually worked as a staffer in Oio for the firm that counted the ballots-and he saw a lot of votes for Kerry wind up in the trash. When he tried to point this out he was told to mind his own business or leave. Nathan Sproul, who just came on board for McCain has a long history of election tampering and registration fraud. But the news media never reports that-it just keeps repeating the ACORN story while leaving out the fact that ACORN was in fact trhe one that brought the discrepencies to the attention of the JD. And to Edditor and gneubeck: Try getting your info from real news sources, not Rush Limbaugh and CO. Idiots like you gave us eight years of Bush/Cheney.
Tom Delay is a thug and a convicted felon. I can't believe he is still showing his face and spewing his hate rhtoric. He doesn't know-or care- about the truth. IN ANd waht 's really offensive is that he does all this under the banner of Christianity. I have never seen anything even relmotely Christian about his activities. Everyone of of thethugs that ut Bush into office-and are trying to put McCain/Plain into office should be investigated-and that includes most of his staff.
terkoy-you are an idiot. You seem to have bought every bit of propaganda that McCain campaign is selling. Try doing your own thinking and try to get real facts. Start with shannynmoore.wordpress.com-See Alaskans think of McCain/Palin. And try VetVoice for some interesting info on veterans and McCain.
gnuebeck: Same goes for you.
People like you gave us eight years of Bush/Cheney-and a little research shows that they have posed the greatest threat to civil liberties and Constitutional rights since McCarthy.
