The midwest is not the same as New York.
[Read the article: What people don't know about Hillary]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Pardon me for sounding obvious. But what Hillary faced in being elected in New York, is not at all the same in what she will face in trying to get midwesterners to vote for her.
At all.
It's real simple: look at every single state that went for Bush in 2004. Every single one of those states will vote against Hillary.
There are people who will register and go to the pulls just for the *joy* of voting against Hillary. I think more people hate her than hate Bill Clinton. The polls bear that out.
And this is besides the sad but real fact that other people will vote against her just because she's a woman.
We need to get these Republicans out of office. The 2000 election shows the clear difference between parties, and the overwhelming importance of keeping Republicans out of the Executive branch. Sure, it would be great to have a woman president. Hillary can't do it; and trying to make that happen this year, will just keep the Republican party in an office where they can continue to destroy the country and stain our name around the world.

Also, 'carbon' covers both dioxide and carbon monoxide
[Read the article: I hate buzzwords! It's not "carbon," it's "carbon dioxide"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'm not a chemist, but carbon monoxide is also put out by cars, and thus I imagine it's a significant pollutant too.

That's a great concept of heaven and hell yet
[Read the article: Opus]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If you go to heaven and still haven't let go of your own baggage yet, then it will really bother you when all the people you thought of as express-lane Hellbound show up in heaven too.
Then it will be Hell to you just as long as you can't get over it - an eternity that you can switch out of, just as soon as you're able to admit you were wrong.
Digging it.

Who does he think he's fooling?
[Read the article: Craig: The press made me plead guilty]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]He try to fondle men in a bathroom, it's just something that he keeps being caught doing.
Is he just trying to fool himself?
It gives me sympathy for the poor bastard. His hypocrisy in public life is awful and destructive - all the legislation he's sponsored and opposed to try and keep down gay folk....All the benefits he's gotten from fanning the flames of xenophobia towards people who are gay like it seems certain he is...
But this guy is still so scared and just trapped in the whole he dug for himself, that he can't just square his shoulders and say what the whole freakin' world can clearly see. It's just sad.
I can only see more and more of these sorts of revelations in the future, as our culture evolves. This is actually a good sign; the shedding of a skin.

Some alternates for female cuckold
[Read the article: What do you call a female cuckold?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Chickold?
Tragi-gal?
Medea?

Now distinguish him from George W. Bush
[Read the article: Was the Tasered student asking for it?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Oh, right - this guy doesn't have a father who was President. Oh, and he can probably speak in complete sentences without rehearsal.

These are the people you are going to be living the rest of your life with.
[Read the article: I want a perfect wedding, but my in-laws are trashy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Unless there's more about the sister-in-law than you're telling, I think it's in your best interest, as well as everyone involved, to have her at your wedding. As well as, more importantly, her husband, soon to be your brother-in-law.
Family isn't perfect. It's family. Your wedding will be something that not only you will remember. Not inviting your husband's brother's fiance will at best split your husband's family, and at worst unite them against you.
Perhaps this occurs to you as a lack of control for you; you didn't want children at your wedding, and it seems you don't want her either.
But you can also, if you choose, have this be a triumph for you - you can and will lovingly and totally be fine with everything about your husband's family.
Because you can't change them. The most you can do is be a shining example of loving, planning, graciousness, and fortitude - in a word, true class.
So, as Cary said, IMHO very graciously and truly - be big. Be huge-hearted and have her there, as much as she may grate on you. I say your heart is big enough, you can do it. :)

These authors are sobbing, and need to stop it.
[Read the article: Stop your sobbing]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]What was the result of Rachel Carson's "sobbing", that they mention in the first paragraph? DDT was found to be unhealthy and was banned, and pesticides in general were looked at for the first time. And we are all healthier today because of it.
Gee, what a horrible example to follow. Say that something bad *is* bad, and then do something, and the problem might be fixed.
And the terrible price to be exacted for this? While it's being fixed, some people might feel bad about it.
If I have to make a choice, I prefer blaming to extinction. But that's a false choice. What I really want is accountability. Guess what? Pollution goes somewhere. Guess what? Just feeling better about ourselves won't solve our challenges.
Talk about "stop your sobbing". These authors need to stop complaining about how people's feelings are being hurt, by people who are trying to save the freakin' **planet**.

He's admitted too much before.
[Read the article: A denial that admits too much?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Back in 1982, a reported asked him how he felt about the then-current Congressional page sex-scandal.
Craig then issued a bizarre pre-emptive denial of any involvement. He was the only member of Congress to do so.
http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/08/27/1982-larry-craig-denial-1982/
Six months later, he proposed to one of his staffers, who already had kids from a previous marriage. Instant family.
It's almost enough to give me sympathy for the guy. Must be tough, being that afraid to really be yourself.

anagram of Jonah Goldberg = handjoblogger
[Read the article: Nepotistic tough guys and their coddling parents]
