@Lotus Feet - let's discuss arrogance, by all means.
[Read the article: Who is the real John McCain?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Arrogant people tend to be wrong a lot of the time
And then they get very very mad
Very mad
Interesting. Because you sound very angry. And McCain also looks and acts arrogant and angry - so much so that he couldn't even look at Obama once during their debate.
Try answering:
I will, if you can answer questions about McCain. That's fair, right? Let's see if you can handle it.
Who was Keith Kakugawa?
A childhood friend of Obama's, who's fallen on hard times.
Who is Carol McCain? McCain's first wife - who supported him throughout his time in POW camp and his early career. Who he cheated on and then dumped because she got sick and in the process got fat. So had an affair with and then married a beer heiress.
What kind of character does that show, on McCain's part? I'm interested in your response.
Who is Billy Ayers...Bernadette Dhorn?
Billy Ayers is a neighbor of Obama's, who did some bad things 30-plus years ago - none of which was bad enough that he has actually served any time in jail. Bernadette Dhorn was someone who worked in the same office as Michelle Obama, who also did bad things which also were not bad enough that she served any time.
As they have never been involved with the Obama's to any substantive degree, I consider this kind of guilt by association to be unAmerican to it's core.
Now, if they were actually involved with the Obama's and advised them and then worked for them to any important degree, that would be a different story. Like say, Richard Quin.
Who's Richard Quinn? McCain's white supremist advisor. Not just a neighbor - a member of McCain's team.

Who is Jeremiah Wright?
A nutty pastor with an audience of several hundred. Who's Pat Robertson? A nutty pastor McCain's cozied up to for votes, who has an audience of several hundred thousand.
Who is Todd Stroger?
A Cook County Illinois Alderman who Obama supported as a fellow Democrat, who now may or may not be crooked.
Who is Rick Renzi? A Republican who was of McCain's former campaign chairs, who's been indicted on 35 charges of corruption. Who's Jack Abramoff? A Republican lobbyist who's been indicted and convicted, who's given $100000 to McCain directly, and also supported him directly. Who McCain defended until indicted, who McCain withheld a direct letter from, and about whom McCain then withheld a staggering 750,0000 pages of information about during the investigation McCain supposedly led.
Who is dis Antonin Rezko guy?
A guy who sold a house to Obama, who was later found guilty of some crimes - and who Obama had no further involvement with after the private sale.
Who is Charles Keating? Whhoooops! That's the crooked real estate investment mogul, who nearly brought down the economy back in the late 80's. Who McCain personally intervened to try to help, for which he was officially rebuked by the Senate Ethics Committe.
And now, for extra credit:
- who is Vicki Iseman?
- who is Paxson Communications?
- who are Charlie Black, Tom Loeffler, and Peter Madaigan? I'll solve that one for you - 3 McCain campaign aides who were lobbyists for Burma's brutal regime.
And a bit more about Charlie Black, because his records' quite interesting. He was also a lobbyist for Phillipines dictator Ferdinand Marcos; Somali dictator Mohamed Siad Barre; and Angolan terrorist & mass-murderer Jonas Savimbi.
So, if you have any more inflated non-scandals about Obama, please, by all means bring 'em. I can keep matching you with real and verified McCain scandals all day. McCain really is that bad a candidate.

@Goedel - good points, but let's remember Obama isn't President yet.
[Read the article: Who is the real John McCain?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Obama is definitely more interested in getting out of Iraq than McCain, and has a plan to do that which has been publicly approved of by Iraq's President himself. McCain talks about this pullout in very vague and hypothetical terms, and shows no actual difference in policy than GWB - which means effectively forever.
So while in some lights may be little difference between McCain and Obama, this difference is still very, very important.
Also consider the difference between Bill Clinton and George W. Bush towards Iraq. On paper, not that much - but in practice it's the difference between sending a few missiles at a country, and invading it at a horribly inopportune time and an incredibly bungled fashion to boot.
Without clarity on how to fund all that needs to be done at home and the funds committed above, Obama's nicer recognitions of our problems at home are just empty words.
With respect here, there is clarity. The details are all here:
http://www.barackobama.com/issues/seniors/
So, for example:
- Medicare will be reduced in cost, by once again enabling the US to collectively bargain with pharmaceutical companies.
- Social Security will be made once again solvent, by increasing the contributions of those making over $250,000
Other details are here:
http://www.barackobama.com/issues/economy/
This sort of policy discussion isn't occurring, because it's easier to sell ads about conflict and emotion. Nevertheless, the details are actually there if you look.
Further diving into details for any candidate will have to wait until either one is in office, because the variables are too great to really enable an accurate prediction for policy.
